The rain let up in the afternoon, and Xin Feng and Yan Lie returned from their hunt.
Yan Lie saw the room full of ingredients and happily walked over to Bai Wanwan, tilting his head to give her a peck on the cheek.
"Wanwan, it smells so good!"
Bai Wanwan, still busy washing tripe, turned to look at him. "We have a lot of food today. Go and get your older brother and the other beastmen from your clan. We're having hot pot tonight."
Yan Lie's eyes sparkled. "My brother tried it once and couldn't stop saying how amazing you are—that you not only cook for the males yourself, but you also make it taste so delicious."
Bai Wanwan smiled and urged him on. "You should hurry and tell them, or they'll eat before you get there."
"Okay, I'm on my way."
Xin Feng entered the house next, dropping a scrawny wild deer on the floor.
Seeing him soaked to the bone, Bai Wanwan hurried him inside to change his clothes.
