"Allocen, please help me bring Vane and Darian somewhere safer..." said Liro as he tried to lift up Darian, who, after passing out, returned to his normal form. Snowy was right on the ground.
Allocen remained silent and simply lifted Vane's body, but suddenly they heard some footsteps, the leaves in a single spot were moving.
"Attention, Allocen... someone might have heard us," said Liro with a serious tone, putting himself into a defensive position.
'Darian and Vane aren't conscious, and Allocen is gravely injured... will I be able to defend them?' thought Liro, who was extremely worried, unlike Allocen, who was more relaxed.
"Don't worry," said Allocen, slowly touching Liro's shoulder. Suddenly, from the woods, Kael, Tauren, and Eros came out.
Eros was moving very slowly, the scratch on his back was surely hurting a lot. Tauren was leading the way, his whole body full of scratches. His eyes were totally black, and his vision had gone blurry, so he could barely see.
On the other hand, Kael's body was only bleeding a bit, and he could still walk normally. The group finally met again, and among them, the one who had used his soul the least was Liro, in fact, his body was still doing great.
"Guys!" shouted Liro, seeing everyone.
"I guess you were able to win, right?" asked Kael, seeing Darian and Vane on the ground and realizing they were unconscious. Allocen simply nodded.
"Now Jaune should have reached Nysira. Soon they'll be here," said Tauren, watching in the direction of the cross, from that distance, you could barely see anything.
"I can still fight, I should go and help them," said Liro as he got up. Suddenly, Darian's eyes started to open. 'He's already awake?!' thought Allocen as he watched Darian slowly opening his eyes.
'Calm down, Allocen... he shouldn't remember anything... but it's probably his work,' thought Allocen, referring to the small white fox lying next to Darian. When Allocen made Darian fall unconscious, Snowy was still inside his body, so he probably helped him somehow.
"What? Where am I..." said Darian, a bit confused. Suddenly, he saw everyone next to him, which took him by surprise.
Darian glanced around and realized they were still on the battlefield. 'Ehi, Jaune is not here... I guess the fight isn't over yet,' thought him as he started to get up, his head hurting a lot.
"But what happened... I only remember passing out because of Garwhole," said Darian, confused. But seeing that he was still alive, and the same applied for Vane and Allocen, he felt relieved.
"I took care of Garwhole," said Allocen calmly. Darian turned towards him, smiling.
"Thank you, Allocen... you saved my li—" Darian was interrupted by a scream. Everyone turned towards it and saw the creature Sappho had just summoned from the ground.
The roar sent a shiver down everyone's spine. "THAT'S A DINOSAURRR!" shouted Darian, scared. After realizing what that creature was, he suddenly passed out once again.
"Hahahaha, let's see how you can do against my toy!" shouted Sappho as she commanded the dinosaur to rush toward Jaune.
But suddenly, Nysira woke up. She was still a bit confused by everything, especially since she was awakened by the sound of a roar.
"Ja-Jaune?!? What are you doing here!!" shouted Nysira after realizing what was happening, understanding that the creature behind Jaune, running toward them, was not a krukin but something summoned by Sappho.
Jaune created a few wires to stop the dinosaur as it rushed toward them. As he created the wires to stop it and make it lose balance, his body started to bleed.
Sappho, realizing that her toy might even hurt her, took a few steps back.
"I... We came for you, Nysira, c'mon!!" yelled Jaune as he immediately longed his arm toward Nysira, though she couldn't grab it.
"No!!" shouted back Nysira, almost breaking into tears. "You should have never come here in the first place, it was too dangerous!!" she added, with tears running down her cheek. Sappho was clearly enjoying the sight of the girl breaking down in tears.
"It doesn't matter now, the important thing is that I'm here now," said Jaune calmly. Suddenly, he turned once again toward the dinosaur. He had gained enough kinetic energy, although he was extremely slow now. Jaune created some wires beneath the dinosaur's feet to block them together.
'The wires won't be able to hold it for long... I have to save her faster,' thought Jaune as he turned once again toward Nysira, who was about to speak.
"But I—" Nysira got interrupted by Jaune. It was basically the first time that had ever happened, so her eyes widened in surprise.
"But nothing! Who was the one who always came and rescued me when I was scared?!" shouted Jaune as he started screaming again. Nysira didn't know how to answer, she simply remained still.
"Do you remember when we fought against the Hollowroot? I couldn't even move, but you came and gave me hope..." yelled Jaune with all his strength. Suddenly, his eyes lowered, and his tone grew softer. "The one that I hope I'm able to give you now."
"Tch... that isn't fun anymore," said Sappho, annoyed that the girl had calmed down. "Let me help you, my toy..." said her as she summoned a small krukspy from the ground near the dinosaur, it cut the wires.
"Please, Nysira!!" yelled Jaune once again, but suddenly he noticed Nysira's feet charging, they were moving extremely fast, even though she was standing still. She was using her own magic to generate kinetic electricity. Suddenly, Jaune remembered why Eros had told him that he would be the one to directly save Nysira...
"I'm assigning this work to you, Jaune, because you're the only one who will be able to do it perfectly," said Eros. They were still in Skar-Zhul, a few days before their departure.
"But why me...? Tauren or Allen would be more useful..." said Jaune, lowering his head and speaking in a soft tone.
"It's simple," said Eros with a decisive tone. "Because once Nysira starts moving her own feet, it will be easy for you to free her. We don't know in what state we might find her, me and Darian thought we'd find Nysira trapped. So, if she starts moving her feet..." Jaune lifted his head, and Eros looked him straight in the eyes.
"Thanks to all the kinetic energy, you'll be able to free her," finished Eros. Jaune simply nodded and walked away.
"You were right, Eros..." said Jaune after he saw Nysira's feet moving extremely fast. He was able to create strong wires that freed Nysira from the cross by destroying the few wires that were blocking her.
"Jaune!!" shouted Nysira as she fell to the ground. As she lifted her head, she noticed Jaune's hand. As she grabbed it, the dinosaur's jaw was already upon them.
"Ngh!" Jaune, scared, tried to protect himself with his hands, but when he realized he was still alive, he found himself in Nysira's arms, right behind the dinosaur.
In fact, after Nysira grabbed Jaune's arm, she immediately rushed away, saving both herself and him.
"Than— owhojw!" Suddenly, Jaune found himself on top of Nysira's shoulder, as she was about to run extremely fast.
"Let's do this!" shouted Nysira. Jaune nodded in agreement. Both of them rushed toward the enemy.
