The day of the Goodwill event finally arrived. For anyone who doesn't know what a goodwill event is, it is a fierce competition that pits the teams of Tokyo and Kyoto students against each other in a series of intense jujutsu battles.
And this year, the event is happening on Tokyo Jujutsu High.
The Kyoto students crossed through the gates of Tokyo Jujutsu High under the leadership of Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin.
The atmosphere between both schools was noticeably tense. Although the event was officially described as a friendly exchange between sister schools, everyone present knew it was little more than a sanctioned excuse to compete and occasionally settle grudges between them.
Mai casually looked around the familiar campus while Momo floated beside her on her broom.
Momo is a short girl with a very youthful appearance. She has blonde hair tied into two pigtails tied at the base and ends that point upwards and pale blue eyes. Both her ears are pierced with two earrings, and she also sports a collar on her neck.

At her side was Noritoshi Kamo, who maintained his composed expression as always.
Noritoshi is a tall young man who stands above all his peers, save for Aoi Todo, at Kyoto Jujutsu High. He has gray-colored eyes that are normally kept completely shut and black hair. He is the heir to the Kamo Clan, one of the great families like the Zenin Clan and Gojo Clan.

To Noritoshi's left side was a mechanical-like being, and his name is Mechamaru, who silently scanned the surroundings.
Todo, meanwhile, looked thoroughly uninterested, yawning loudly enough for everyone to hear.
Todo is a tall young man who stands about the same height as Satoru Gojo. He has a very defined, heavy muscular build and relatively tan skin. He has small black eyes and shoulder-length black hair that is almost always tied into a top-knot bun with unusual flyaway strands with rounded ends akin to multiple stamens of a flower, befitting the meaning of his name. One of his most notable features is the large scar running down the left side of Todo's face.

Before either side could exchange greetings—
BOOOOOOOM!!
The clear blue sky erupted in a spectacular explosion of colorful confetti and fireworks.
Every first-year from Tokyo instinctively tensed as the explosion didn't looked like a celebration but much like a bombardment.
Yuji nearly jumped out of his skin. "What the hell?!" His surprise was warranted, as this still daytime and unintelligent man would do fireworks in the daytime.
Megumi immediately took a defensive stance, one hand already forming a shadow.
Gojo descended from the smoke with both arms spread dramatically. "Surpriiiiiise!" he announced proudly, clearly expecting applause or at least astonishment. Instead, the only thing waiting for him was complete and utter indifference.
Neither the Tokyo students nor the Kyoto students paid him any attention. The Kyoto group, in particular, walked right past him as though he were invisible, each of them focused on the souvenir bags Gojo had distributed after returning from his overseas trip.
Momo happily inspected a box of sweets while Miwa admired an expensive-looking packet of tea leaves. Mechamaru quietly examined a collection of foreign snacks, and even Mai seemed mildly interested in what she had received.
"Oh, this tea looks expensive."
"I got sweets."
"Interesting... these snacks aren't even sold in Japan."
"I've never seen this brand before."
Gojo remained frozen with his arms still spread open. His confident smile gradually crumbled into one of heartbreak as his shoulders visibly slumped. "My...dramatic entrance...only...Naoya can understand this feeling."
His theatrical despair lasted only a few seconds before another problem presented itself.
Nobara's eyes locked onto the souvenir bags like a predator spotting prey. "Hold it!" she declared, marching directly toward Momo with sparkling eyes. "You guys got souvenirs? Where is ours?"
Momo immediately hugged the bag against her chest and floated backward on her broom. "W-Wait! Personal space!"
"No fair!" Nobara protested. "We're from the same school too! Share!" Which they are not.
"D-Don't rob me!"
Yuji scratched the back of his head awkwardly while watching Nobara aggressively negotiate what looked suspiciously like daylight robbery. "...She's actually trying to mug them."
Megumi let out a tired sigh. "I'm pretending I don't know her."
A short distance away, Mechamaru calmly observed Tokyo's first-years through his mechanical eyes. "The first-years won't be able to keep up with us," he stated matter-of-factly. "They lack experience and battlefield composure. I say without Yuta present, our victory is guaranteed."
Noritoshi Kamo silently nodded before shifting his gaze toward Megumi.
"Perhaps," he said evenly. "However, Megumi Fushiguro is different. His technique is exceptional, he has battlefront experience, and his potential surpasses that of most young sorcerers." He paused for a brief moment before finishing his assessment. "I believe Megumi Fushiguro is the most talented sorcerer produced by the Zenin bloodline."
*Cough*Cough*
The instant those words left his mouth, he felt two sharp glares pierce straight through him.
"You seem to forget Naoya is also from the Zenin bloodline," said Mai, and she looked like the neighboring 'Karen' who is ready to fight the world for what she believes in.
