The cheers of the crowd echoed across the arena as King Calister slowly rose to his feet.
"So today, I have called you all here to witness the succession of my second son, Enzo."
Thunderous applause erupted from every corner of the arena. The sound rolled through the capital like a wave. Some people cheered out of genuine joy, while others simply followed the crowd.
"As the Moon Goddess is our witness, and in the presence of the lords and people of this kingdom, my son shall now take the Oath of Succession."
King Calister gave Raven a small nod.
Raven stepped forward, her crimson robes flowing behind her as she stopped before Enzo. The arena gradually fell silent. Even the wind seemed to still.
She met Enzo's eyes.

Enzo gave a single nod.
