Finally, after what felt like an endless night, they arrived back at the apartment building, only to find the entire neighborhood gathered outside waiting anxiously for Dante's return while trying—and failing—to calm his hysterical mother down. The moment they spotted Falcon walking toward them with an unconscious Dante resting against his back, panic instantly turned into chaos as everyone rushed toward him at once. The loud commotion and frantic voices eventually stirred Dante awake.
"Dante!" his mother cried out the second Falcon carefully lowered him from his back. Her trembling hands immediately grabbed his face despite the bruises already swelling across it. "What happened to you?! Are you hurt badly?! Who did this to my son?!"
"Mom, I'm fine…" Dante muttered painfully, wincing when her fingers accidentally pressed against one of the bruises near his jaw.
