Aiden walked toward the building with the flickering flames. At this moment, the curtains were tightly closed, but silhouettes of people moving around could be seen clearly.
"What rotten luck did you have, boy? You died there, and not even your sister cared enough to take a look," Aiden sighed, climbing the floors.
However, instead of forcing his way in, he turned his kukri around and used the hard metal end of the handle to knock on the door three times.
The chattering ceased, and silence fell inside the room. Slowly, someone removed the barrier and peeked outside.
"…who is there?" A feminine voice asked.
Aiden realized this was the voice of Nathan's sister. He smiled, and instead of telling her who he was, he unzipped the bag filled with food and showed it to her.
Seeing the bag filled with snacks, she yanked the door open, intending to take the food, but froze when he saw the smiling figure before her.
"N-Nathan!?" she shrieked, stumbling backwards.
