At the edge of the universe.
On Planet Vampa.
Frieza slowly regained consciousness. At first, he was filled with uncontrollable rage. After calming down slightly, he immediately looked around in all directions.
Where is this place?
The environment of this planet was extremely harsh. Yellow sand filled the sky, and visibility was extremely low.
There wasn't even a single drop of drinkable liquid water on the planet.
Frieza frowned.
How did I end up here?
Did that bastard Son Goku send me here?
He quickly checked his body.
He was completely bare, not even a communicator in sight.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" Frieza trembled with anger and let out furious roars.
I actually lost to Son Goku!
I'm Frieza who was reborn!
How could I lose?!
His heart was filled with unwillingness.
But soon, the corner of Frieza's mouth curled upward, and his smile grew brighter.
Since you didn't kill me, Son Goku, just wait until I recover to my peak.
Then I'll make you pay.
At that moment, Frieza suddenly heard someone shouting "Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" loudly from somewhere to his right.
He froze slightly.
An echo?
It doesn't sound quite right.
And isn't this echo way too slow?
Go take a look.
Maybe there's someone over there.
How dare someone imitate me, Frieza!
I'll beat you to death!
Frieza quickly flew in that direction.
…
Not far away.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" Paragus was roaring toward the sky, venting his anger.
After shouting, he suddenly noticed that his voice seemed to echo back from somewhere.
This damn echo!
Why does it sound different now?
And why does it feel like it's coming back earlier than what I just said?
Paragus was confused, but he subconsciously assumed he was hearing things and didn't think too much about it.
"Thirty years! Thirty years! I've been trapped on this planet for thirty years!" Paragus roared again.
After shouting, he looked toward the direction where the echo had come from and waited for it to return.
Maybe this could help pass the boring time.
But this time, no matter how long he waited, no sound came back.
Was I just imagining things?
Why is there no echo now?
Or…
Could there be someone over there?
Paragus's eyes lit up with excitement.
If there's someone there, does that mean I can finally leave this planet?
Just as he was getting excited, Frieza flew over from afar.
The two came face to face and began sizing each other up.
Paragus didn't recognize Frieza in this form, but he felt strangely familiar. He opened his mouth but didn't speak.
Frieza, on the other hand, was pleasantly surprised when he noticed that Paragus was wearing armor from his army.
"You're from my army?" Frieza asked with a smile.
"What? You're talking? Am I dreaming?" Paragus rubbed his eyes hard, thinking he was hallucinating.
He hadn't seen another person for over thirty years.
On such a vast and harsh planet, besides Broly, he had never seen anyone else.
I shouldn't have killed that companion who came here with me back then.
At least I could have bullied him when I was bored.
"I'm asking you, you're from the Frieza Force, right?" Frieza asked coldly again.
Paragus nodded vigorously, feeling as if he had finally found someone who understood him.
This guy knows about the Frieza Force. That's great!
"I'm Paragus, a warrior of the Saiyan race!" Paragus patted his chest proudly, overflowing with excitement.
Frieza: "..."
His face instantly darkened.
Another Saiyan.
These damn monkey Saiyans!
I, Frieza, will never be done with you!
"Are you really a Saiyan?" Frieza asked coldly.
"Absolutely!" Paragus grinned smugly, swinging his tail behind him on purpose to show off.
Frieza's face darkened even further.
"By the way, who are you?" Paragus asked with a smile. "How did you get to this planet—"
Before he could finish,
Frieza transformed back into his first form.
Paragus froze. His smile stiffened on his face, replaced by shock.
"Lord Frieza… It's you?" Paragus was stunned.
"Bang!"
Frieza casually threw a punch, hitting Paragus square in the stomach.
"Puff…"
Paragus spat out a mouthful of blood and nearly died on the spot.
Next, Frieza stepped on Paragus's head and ground it into the ground.
"Ah… Ah… Ah…"
Paragus screamed in agony, overwhelmed by terror.
"I never thought I'd find a surviving monkey on this godforsaken planet," Frieza sneered, murderous intent flashing in his eyes. "What a pleasant surprise."
"Lord Frieza… I didn't offend you, did I?" Paragus asked desperately, his face pale.
"Of course you didn't," Frieza replied coldly. "But Saiyans did. And you're a Saiyan. So blame your race. I hate Saiyans more than anything."
With that, he pressed down even harder.
"Crack!"
Paragus's head was driven deep into the ground, and he screamed like a slaughtered pig.
His screams echoed across the land.
"Hohohoho!" Frieza felt much better.
All the humiliation he had suffered at Goku's hands was now being vented on Paragus.
Bullying this Saiyan felt just as satisfying as bullying Goku.
"Don't worry. I won't kill you yet. I'm not done venting," Frieza laughed.
Paragus's heart-wrenching screams spread again.
"Hohohoho! Suffer a little more before you die! I love hearing monkeys scream!" Frieza laughed wildly.
But just as he was enjoying himself—
"Whoosh!"
A figure shot over like a beam of light and slammed headfirst into Frieza.
"Puff…"
Frieza's expression froze as he spat out a mouthful of sour liquid, feeling utterly miserable.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The young man who appeared launched a furious barrage of punches and kicks at Frieza.
Caught off guard, Frieza was beaten back repeatedly, unable to fight back.
The attacker was none other than Paragus's son—
The legendary Super Saiyan, Broly.
