"Who is Trunks?" Old Kai had never heard the name before. "Judging by the name, he's a Saiyan too, right?"
"Yes! He's Vegeta's son," Goku answered honestly.
"Vegeta? That Saiyan prince?" Old Kai rubbed his head, feeling a little confused. "Judging by the age, shouldn't his son be about the same age as your boy?"
"That's not the important part… Here's the key point, Old Kai," Goku said with a smile.
"Hurry up and say it! Stop keeping me in suspense!" Old Kai snapped, now fully interested.
"Vegeta's son, Trunks, came from the future to our era. He transformed into a Super Saiyan and killed Frieza," Goku said seriously.
Old Kai: "..."
Old Kai's eyes widened. He was stunned for a long time and couldn't recover.
Another person from another timeline?
"Was he sent back by the Supreme Kai?" Old Kai muttered, then quickly shook his head. "No, no… He traveled from the future to the past. Time Rings can't go backward in time."
"Time Rings? What are those?" Goku's interest was instantly piqued, his eyes lighting up.
"Nothing… nothing… Don't worry about those details," Old Kai said hurriedly, waving his hands.
"Old Kai, if you have those Time Rings… does that mean I can go back to my own timeline?" Goku asked excitedly.
Old Kai: "..."
Old Kai looked guilty and didn't know how to answer.
"So that means it's possible, right?" Goku became even more excited.
Old Kai swallowed nervously and remained silent.
After a brief pause—
"Well… I'm not completely sure, but it's not impossible," Old Kai finally nodded after thinking for a moment.
"Really? I can really go back to my own timeline?" Goku's excitement grew.
"Don't get happy too early!" Old Kai glared at him. "There are more timelines than the hairs on your body. Finding your own will be extremely difficult and take a very long time."
"I'm not in a rush," Goku laughed. "My strength hasn't even returned to its peak yet. As long as there's hope, that's enough!"
"You've always had such a good mindset," Old Kai sighed. Then he brought the topic back. "So Frieza was killed by that future Trunks?"
"Yes, that's right," Goku nodded.
"Then that Vegeta's son… did he come here in a time machine?" Old Kai asked.
"As expected of you, Old Kai. That's exactly it," Goku admitted.
"He didn't come here just to kill Frieza, did he?" Old Kai continued.
"Right… It was because of the Androids. But those aren't very important now," Goku said thoughtfully. "The strongest one, Cell, was about as strong as Demon King Dabura."
"You even met Dabura?" Old Kai was slightly surprised.
So Goku explained everything about meeting the Supreme Kai and Dabura, as well as the release of Majin Buu.
When Old Kai heard that the Supreme Kai had challenged Buu, his nose almost twisted in anger.
"That idiot!" Old Kai clenched his fists. "So… Lord Beerus almost died."
"Lord Beerus? The one who's a hundred thousand times stronger than the Shadow Dragons?" Goku reacted slightly.
"You brat! Watch how you talk! How can you call Lord Beerus 'that guy'? If he hears you, he'll erase you!" Old Kai warned seriously.
Goku quickly covered his mouth and stopped talking.
"So from the current situation," Old Kai said thoughtfully, "if Frieza really was reborn… and he can't get revenge on you, then he'll probably go to Earth to take revenge on Trunks. After all, Trunks was the one who killed him."
"You're absolutely right, Old Kai!" Goku nodded in realization. "But if Trunks really comes to this era from the future, he definitely won't be a match for the current Frieza."
"Make preparations early. If you need anything, contact me," Old Kai waved his hand, signaling Goku to leave.
"Old Kai, please keep an eye on Gohan and the others. If there's danger, call me right away," Goku reminded him again.
"Don't worry. With me here, no one will die," Old Kai said confidently.
"Thanks, Old Kai. I'm heading out!" Goku waved goodbye and used Instant Transmission to return home.
"Goku? Where's Gohan?" Chi-Chi looked nervous when she saw Goku come back alone.
"Uh… Gohan is still training. I'll bring him back when he's done," Goku replied guiltily.
Fortunately, Chi-Chi didn't ask more questions and immediately went to prepare food.
After eating, Goku found another place and began a new round of training.
Now that he had a powerful opponent like Frieza, all Goku wanted was to restore his peak strength as soon as possible.
Unconsciously, another day passed.
Goku finished his training and took a deep breath.
"I feel like my base form has recovered to about sixty percent of my peak," he thought with a smile. "Thanks to Frieza… otherwise, I wouldn't have recovered this fast."
But soon, another realistic problem came to mind.
If Frieza was also reborn, how strong was he at his true peak?
He should have woken up by now, right?
He would probably train hard and restore his own peak strength too.
Alright.
I have to become Super Saiyan Four as soon as possible.
If Frieza's Golden Form stabilizes, Super Saiyan Three might not be enough.
"I'll try transforming into Super Saiyan Four now," Goku clenched his fists. "Let's see if I can do it without a tail."
He tried with all his strength to transform.
But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't activate Super Saiyan Four.
Goku scratched his head helplessly.
Is it really impossible without a tail?
Looks like I need to find a way to grow my tail back as soon as possible.
Do I really have to ask Shenron to help me?
I'll wait a bit longer.
At least Frieza won't be coming anytime soon…
