Nyssa didn't know what to reply. So she just looked up at the sky trying to deflect the topic, "Oh, I think it's about to rain."
Kai said nothing, just staring at her. Nyssa's cheeks burned at his intense stare and then, she looked down at her feet,
"According to Zuleika, she said the rain would become more prominent the coming da—"
A startled gasp escaped Nyssa's lips as a shadow suddenly loomed over her. She whipped her head up to see Kai inches away from her.
She gulped, about to move back but Kai held her in place and leaned closer.
Nyssa's eyes widened, "W-what are you doing?! We're outside!"
His eyes stayed on her for a moment and then a lopsided grin formed on his face, "Hm? Would you prefer inside then?"
Nyssa's lashes fluttered hurriedly, "Wha—no—I…ugh! That's not what I meant!" She puffed her cheeks at his twist.
Her expression made him chuckle and he lifted his hand, pinching her cheeks, "You're always cute when you're flustered."
