Around thirty Bhayangkara knights began moving forward. Every knight drew their swords, and spears were already aimed ahead. The Bhayangkara knights surrounded the exits of the market road.
"Capture that man!" one of the Bhayangkara knights shouted. "Don't let him escape!"
Alfa, who was standing in the middle of the road, immediately smiled widely. Her eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Finally… they realize I'm a threat too," Alfa said.
She puffed out her chest, as if ready to receive a dramatic attack. But unfortunately, every single Bhayangkara knight simply ran past Alfa. Not one of them attacked her. All of the knights focused entirely on Sancaka.
Alfa froze.
"Huh?"
Then Alfa slowly turned her head.
"So they're ignoring me?" Her expression immediately became blank.
Meanwhile, Sancaka quickly carried Daiva with one arm.
"Hold on tight, Daiva," Sancaka said.
Daiva immediately wrapped her small arms around Sancaka neck.
SWUSSH!!
Sancaka moved quickly to avoid the encirclement. His movements were light and fast. Unpredictable. Even several knights tried chasing him but struggled to keep up. Sancaka continuously searched for gaps between them. He disliked long battles. His focus was simple, capture and destroy, then move on to the next target.
Alfa became extremely irritated and grabbed a bottle of medicine.
"I'll make them realize who I am…" Alfa muttered.
But before she could throw it.
'WHUSSH.'
Sancaka suddenly appeared right in front of her.
"Eh?" Alfa was startled.
Daiva was immediately tossed into Alfa arms.
"Hah?!"
Now Alfa automatically carried Daiva. Meanwhile, Sancaka instantly charged back into the group of knights. Daiva blinked in confusion inside Alfa arms. Alfa herself froze for several seconds.
"I became a babysitter?"
Meanwhile, the battle erupted once more.
'FLASH CLEAVE.'
Sancaka body shot forward rapidly. A black slash pierced through light armor.
SLASH!!
One knight collapsed with his chest torn open. Another knight attacked from the side.
BANG!!
GUNBURST SHOT.
The gunblade bullet slammed into the opponent's body, launching him into a vegetable cart and destroying it. Two knights attacked simultaneously. Sancaka dodged low before smashing one opponent's knee.
BRAK!!
A knight's leg bone shattered.
'CLOSE QUARTER BREAK.'
Sancaka spun his body and smashed the next opponent's jaw with the handle of the gunblade.
CRACK.
The man jaw was destroyed. The battle was brutal and fast. No movement was wasted. Sancaka continued moving from one target to another. His black left hand grabbed the face of one knight.
'DEVOUR GRASP.'
Energy was drained from the opponent's body. The knight screamed. His body drastically weakened before Sancaka finally cut him down. In a short amount of time, ten Bhayangkara knights had already fallen. Alfa stared in shock at everything she witnessed.
"Hey! I haven't even joined the fight yet!" Alfa shouted.
She became angry because she felt left out of all the fun. Alfa stepped forward, but after only a few steps, She realized she was still carrying Daiva.
"Oh right, I'm still holding this little kid," Alfa muttered.
Then Alfa looked around in confusion while searching for a safe place. Soon, her eyes noticed a chicken coop near one of the villagers' houses.
"Aha."
Alfa placed Daiva down beside the chicken coop. Several chickens immediately clucked in panic.
"You stay here." Alfa said. "Don't go anywhere."
Daiva simply blinked while watching the chickens nearby. Now Daiva became busy observing a white chicken pecking at corn on the ground. Finally, Alfa walked toward the battlefield. Her hand reached into her bag and pulled out an object, the Type 99 gas mask. A war mask from another world given to her by Matelo.
CKLEK.
She wore the mask over her face. Her eyes immediately turned serious.
"Now it's my turn."
Alfa immediately threw several capsules into the middle of the battlefield.
PRANG!
The capsules shattered, and green smoke spread rapidly.
"MIST CAPSULE."
Several Bhayangkara knights suddenly began coughing.
"What is this smoke?! Where did it come from?!" one knight shouted.
Some knights began coughing violently. Some started losing their vision. Others became dizzy. Alfa smiled beneath the gas mask. Her sword became coated in purple liquid.
"ALCHEMY EDGE."
SLASH!
One knight received only a small cut on his arm. But several seconds later, the man vomited black blood. Alfa kept moving, taking out two different liquids before mixing them rapidly.
"QUICK BREW."
Afterward, she threw the bottle.
DUARR!!
A small explosion burst out, releasing burning smoke. One knight screamed as his skin melted from the corrosive liquid. The villagers immediately fled once they realized poisonous gas had spread. Meanwhile, Sancaka slowly retreated from the smoke covered area. He finally realized this woman fought using poison.
If he got too close, even he could become poisoned. Eventually, Sancaka approached the chicken coop where Daiva stood. Daiva was still watching the battle while holding and petting a small chick. Not long later, the last Bhayangkara knight collapsed.
The surroundings became silent. Thin smoke still covered the village road. Bodies were scattered everywhere. Alfa stood in the middle of the smoke while proudly spinning her sword.
"I'm pretty cool too," Alfa said.
She confidently walked toward Sancaka. Inside her mind, she believed Sancaka would praise her now. Suddenly, a punch struck her face.
BUAK!!
Sancaka fist slammed into Alfa face so hard that she fell to the ground.
"AGH?!"
Her gas mask nearly came off. Alfa immediately stood up while holding her cheek.
"What's your problem?!" Alfa asked.
Sancaka glared sharply at her.
"You suddenly threw poisonous gas in the middle of the battle," Sancaka said. "I almost got poisoned too."
Alfa immediately shouted back.
"We're supposed to be on the same team! So why are you punching me?!" Alfa yelled.
