Chapter 292: The Reception
The instant the door closed, the pitiful look on Elias's face disappeared.
He lifted a hand and combed back his messy black hair. A careless smile settled at the corner of his mouth.
"What a responsible mother," he said. "Terrified her good daughter might get lured into bed by a bad man."
[System Theta: Host, was your plan interrupted?]
Elias leaned back against the sofa, too relaxed for someone who had just been caught in such a compromising position.
'Why would you say that?'
[System Theta: Weren't you planning to… with Giselle…]
Elias smiled faintly.
'Who told you that? Didn't I say a long time ago that she is the last one?'
System Theta finally reacted.
[System Theta: You knew Victoria Frost was coming?]
Elias rolled his eyes lightly. Even without meaning to tempt anyone, the gesture carried a faint, lazy charm.
'So stupid. Weren't you the one who told me Victoria was here? That was why I brought Giselle down onto the sofa with me.'
