Chapter 31 - : Levithan [1]

The surface of the Arabian Sea was deceptively calm.

Kairos and Aria broke through the water like two survivors from a shipwreck, gasping for air as their suits hissed and vented excess pressure. They swam the last few meters to a jagged rocky outcrop that jutted out from the sea like a broken tooth. The moment they dragged themselves onto the wet stone, they collapsed side by side, chests heaving, water streaming from their suits.

The sun was high overhead, blinding after the absolute darkness of the deep. Waves gently lapped at the rocks, but the memory of the leviathan's thunderous pursuit still echoed in their bones.

For a long minute, neither spoke. Only the sound of their ragged breathing and the distant cry of seabirds filled the air.

Kairos finally sat up, pulling off his mask. His dark hair was plastered to his forehead, gray eyes wide with adrenaline.

"We made it," he breathed.

Aria removed her own mask, raven hair falling wet across her shoulders. She looked exhausted but unharmed. Her violet eyes met his.

"Barely."

The interface in Kairos's vision pulsed softly, then expanded into a full holographic window only he could see. The system's voice was calm, almost clinical, but carried a rare weight.

[Host Kairos. Analysis complete.]

[Entity encountered: Not the primary leviathan.]

[That was merely a juvenile guardian — one of several decoys placed around the rift zone. The true leviathan is resting in the Abyssal Sanctum, a depth no human has ever reached alive. It is currently dormant, guarded by pressures that would crush any submersible and temporal riptides that warp time itself. Even S-rank Crystos avoid that place.]

Kairos's eyes widened.

"So we weren't fighting the real thing…"

[Correct. The guardian was already formidable. The true leviathan is on an entirely different scale.]

Before Kairos could respond, the system continued.

[Additional data: Aria Voss is an officially recognized S-rank Crysto within Elysium Veil. Her illusion mastery and barrier proficiency place her among the top 0.1% of bonded individuals worldwide.]

Kairos glanced at Aria, who was still catching her breath beside him.

She's S-rank… and I still don't even have an official rank.

The system seemed to read his thoughts.

[Your rank remains undecided. The Genesis Seed does not follow standard classification. You are… something else.]

Kairos was about to ask more when the horizon changed.

Far in the distance, the sea began to shimmer with unnatural light. Dozens of bright streaks appeared in the sky — high-speed aerial transports, crystal-enhanced gliders, and even a few Crystos flying under their own power. From the shore, more figures emerged — some walking on water using wind or gravity manipulation, others riding massive summoned beasts that skimmed the waves.

They were coming from all directions.

S-rank Crystos.

The elite of Aetheria.

Some wore the flowing robes of Elysium Veil, others the heavy armor of Forge Dominion, the storm cloaks of Tempest Syndicate, and the starlit garments of Astral Concord. A few lone wolves arrived alone, their auras so powerful that the air around them visibly distorted.

The entire coastline became a gathering point.

From the air, it looked like a scene from legend — hundreds of the world's strongest crystal-bearers converging on one spot. The reason was already spreading like wildfire across the global aether-net.

"Juvenile Leviathan Spotted Near Arabian Sea Rift – Massive Energy Surge Detected!"

The news had broken within minutes of their escape. Drone footage captured by a passing Aetheria patrol had gone viral — blurry but unmistakable images of the enormous guardian thrashing in the water, its crystal spikes glowing blood-red, shockwaves rippling across the surface. Hashtags like #LeviathanAwakening, #DeepThreat, and #S-RankConvergence were trending worldwide. Every major organization had received emergency alerts. The guardian's roar had carried across the aether frequencies, a clear signal that something ancient and powerful was stirring in the deep.

That was why they had all come.

The elites weren't here for Kairos or Aria. They were here because a leviathan — even a juvenile one — had shown itself so close to the surface. It was a once-in-a-generation event. Whoever could claim even a fragment of its power would leap years ahead in rank and influence.

The sky was filled with streaks of color — gold, crimson, sapphire, emerald — as S-rank Crystos arrived in style. The sea reflected their power, creating shimmering auroras on the surface even in broad daylight. The air hummed with raw aether energy. It felt like the world itself was holding its breath.

Aria stood up slowly, her expression turning serious.

"They felt it too," she said quietly. "The guardian's roar must have echoed across half the ocean. Every major organization has sent their best."

Kairos watched as one Crysto — a woman in glowing white robes — descended from the sky on wings of pure light, landing gracefully on a nearby rock. Another man, built like a mountain with iron-like crystal armor, walked across the water as if it were solid ground.

The scene was absolute cinema.

Aria turned to Kairos, her violet eyes steady.

"I'm S-rank," she said simply, as if confirming what the system had already told him. "But you… your power doesn't fit any rank I've ever seen. The Seed inside you is something the organizations have never encountered."

Kairos gave a small, wry smile.

"Guess I'm still a mystery."

They stood together on the rock as more and more elites gathered along the shore and hovered above the waves. Some were already scanning the sea with advanced devices, others were forming temporary alliances, voices carrying across the water.

The real hunt had just become much more complicated.
