The headquarters had been buzzing from the moment the sun came up. People hurried through the halls, arms full of decorations and trays of food.
Roseanne, who had just finished bathing her son, paused in front of Kaden's outfit, the one Czar had picked out himself. The head housekeeper had dropped it off at dawn quietly slipping the clothes rack into the room while Kaden still snored. It was a tiny formal suit; crisp white shirt, khaki checkered pants, and a matching vest.
Beside it hung her own white sundress with a low back that was just daring enough but still felt right for the occasion, which Czar had picked out as well.
She tried to distract her son from looking outside, but when the boy was still asleep, Roseanne took a glance through the window. In the garden below, a crowd of people were busy preparing decorations. The sprawling grounds belonged to Czar and this was where the birthday party would take place.
