A few minutes before firing the magic while Azura and Grady were arguing Dave was looking through the list of spells and discussing things with Gen
"So which of these do you think that we should start out with?" Dave asked
"Based on the fact that when you were tested they determined you to be lightning element the best course of action would be to use the spark spell, this will allow me to determine the power of the spells and possibly incorperate them into the system" Gen suggested
"Possibly incorperate them?" Dave questioned "what do you mean by that?"
"Much like when generating images models can be created for extra energy in order to speed up the creation and more accurately create what you imagine"
"Why haven't you told me about this ability before?"
"It was unecessary, up until this point you were only generating one of things or simple things such as foods or training equipment, with spells however depending on the amount of energy you wish to put into generating the spell and other factors the same spell can have different results as the teacher informed you" explained Gen "as such it would be more efficient for you to create multiple different spells with different focuses such as ones focused on power and other focused on casting multiple of the same spell at the same time in order to hit multiple targets at once without having to go through the trouble of inputting each value each time"
"So instead of let's say having to say generate 5 lightning bolts with medium power targeting the 5 targets in front of me with increased accuracy and high speed I would be able to specify it a multibolt 5 and it would have the same affect?"
"Exactly" replied Gen "and due to the systems influence the power would remain the same as if you had chanted due to the system using the same mental image each time as it will copy the strongest image you have meaning that as you cast more spells the image will become clearer and therefor over time your spell will become stronger"
"That's amazing let's try it out right now" Dave said excitedly, turning to face the target
"Alright then, let's start out with just going all in on power and destructive effect, create a copy of the spell I am about to cast" he stated
"Understood, system copying on standbye, before you begin what would you like to name this spell?" Gen responed
"Let's go with thunderbolt" Dave smiled "generate lightning magic, high power, increased penetration, increase accuracy, high speed, add paralysis effect, fire in direction that my finger points, fire from fingertip, make it so that the spell can't harm me, no recoil, focus into a crossbow bolt shape and size and add a spin to it to increase its destructive power"
"Thunderbolt spell copied, would you like to cast the spell?" Gen declared
"Yes please" Dave responded excitedly pointing his finger at the target in front of him
"What energy would you like to use, Blue, yellow or red?" Gen asked
"Definately not red" Dave replied "what are the differences between yellow and blue?" Dave questioned
"Yellow will be more powerful whereas blue will be more efficiant" Gen answered
"Let's go with yellow then, I'm aiming for destructive might with this spell rather than efficiency after all" Dave decided
"Understood, in the future you may decide which energy to use by adding blue, yellow or red to the spell, if not the spells will automatically use the energy starting with blue then yellow and finally red" Gen commented
"Alright, I'll keep that in mind" Dave acknowledged "right then, time for the test fire, thunderbolt yellow, generate" he decalred as he pointed at the target
All of a sudden a rush of magic surged down his arm creating a bolt of lightning at his finger tip that shot forth, smashing the target and continuing into the tree line, destroying a line of trees before it finally came to a halt and disapated in the fifth in the line of the trees
Everyone in the class turned to look at Dave who was the source of the powerful magic
"Erm.... oops" he said as one of the trees that he had damaged fell over, taking out another tree that seemed to have a small amount of damage already done to it by someone else
Grady looked at Dave in disgust, the awe and praise that he had been getting from his classmates having stopped due to the shock that they were all feeling
Azura on the other hand looked both shocked and very pleased, shaking as she struggled to contain the urge to rush over to Dave and ask him how he had done that, turning to Grady with a smile
"Next time if you want to show off, make sure that there's not someone who is better at doing it than you by accident" she chuckled as she made her way over to Dave "you're telling me how you did that later" she whispered to him as she walked past him on her way to the teacher
"Sir, I must apologise for my classmate, it seems that he has never cast a spell before and was unable to control its power" she bowed, acting as the noble lady that she had been taught to be since a young age
"It does not matter" replied the teacher, waving his hand causing vines to grow out of the stumps of the trees that Dave had just destroyed, connecting them back together and restoring them as good as new "I am happy that my students have such potential, but in the future mr sparks, please try to control your magic better, we wouldn't want any accidents that I can't fix to happen in the future" he smiled kindly
"Understood sir" Dave responded
"Now then, if you are all done picking your jaws off of the floor, back to practicing everyone, we practice to prevent things such as what happened from happening" the teacher declared
"Yes sir" responded the class, a new energy seeping through them from seeing a classmate use such a powerful spell and thinking that they would be able to do the same.
