[Weathered Woven Basket: An old weathered woven basket, can carry 3 items in it. Durability: 10/100]

Sweet, I got an extra 3 inventory boxes from this basket.

It's better to use it to keep some important items that weren't able to be used right away. So, she decided to put the blueprint fragment, scrap metal, and the rope in it. Now, her main inventory has 3 empty boxes again, and she could continue to walk through the island.

From her piles, she observed the surroundings again. The next washed debris could only be seen a little bit in the far horizon of the beach, it might take quite a long time and stamina to reach it. On her left side were a stretch of flower-filled meadow with a river running through it leading further to the tickets of trees beyond it.

*Cacaw… Chirp… Cheep…*

As she was observing the beauty of the meadow, she noticed that this island was not truly empty. There was a medium sized creature, perching on the branch of a tree not far from the flower meadow.

That must be what they called as a bird. How beautiful.

This was the first time she ever encountered and saw one, as modern life on earth has very limited native organisms besides humans and some selected genetically-modified animals and plants. That bird had a very striking appearance, it had soft white feathers that fade into pale sky-blue along the tips of its wings. Under the sunlight, the feathers shimmer faintly, as if it was covered in dusted diamonds.

The bird's presence had attracted her a lot, that she had walked towards the meadow without even realizing it. The meadow was blanketed in countless wildflowers, painting it in soft colorful colors. The scenery was quite breathtaking as she walked through it. The sound of the rippling river could be heard as it was passing along not very far from her. Such unique features of the island, very different from the vast white sand of the beach.

[Fatigue: 30/100]

[Hunger: 15/100]

[Thirst: 30/100]

The system is quite stingy huh!

Just moving to another place on this island requires fatigue. Now, she even has a hunger and thirst bar. This really told her that this was her new reality.

In the distance she could observe the bird was perching on the tree branch right by the river bed. As she was super curious about it, she kept walking closer to it. When arrived near it, she noticed a bench situated right underneath the tree. Now the bird had flown to the bench, as if inviting her to come sit with it.

The bird didn't appear to be aggressive, it just kept on chirping and tilting its head from side to side. She remembered the system had mentioned the creatures of this world wouldn't engage with them during the newbie protection period. So, she approached the bench and slowly sat down on it.

The bird still didn't fly away, it was as if it was waiting for her. It even wobbled closer to her and nudged its feathered head towards her.

This was the first time other organisms had contact with her. Even before the doctors would only command some robot nurse to handle her, they would only observe and snicker from afar.

She extended her arms to touch the bird feathers, from its head to the tip of its wing. It was soft and warm, giving a sign to her of how an organism should be compared to the cold robot nurse.

She didn't know for how long she was mesmerized with sensation and the beauty of her surroundings.

Your attention continued to settle on the bird. The bird still nestled calmly underneath her touch. Sunlight that fell onto it shined the feathers softly, it glinted in many soft colors, pink, blue, yellow as if some had embedded in its wings and body.

[Petalwing Bird: A gentle creature that often lingers near places touched by fortune]

The observation window hovered in the air, as the bird chirped loudly, as if it was proud of its description.

"Pretty bird, should I follow you then?"

A foreign sound rang out through the serene place.

Ah, it was her voice.

It had been so long since she heard it again, as she lost the capability to talk a year ago.

"Ha… ahh…"

Forgot about the bird, she now focused on her newly found voice again.

The bird, as if it was bored listening to her, flew for a moment and perched onto a stone on the edge of the river.

*Chirp… cheep… chirp…*

"Ah, bird wait!"

Losing the warm sensation from the bird, quickly made her realize that the bird had moved away. She observed the stone where the bird was now perched on.

The bird looked at you, then looked at the stone, then back at you.

Is it asking her to check on the stone?

Thinking maybe she didn't get its meaning, the bird now stomped one of its legs to the stone, while tilting its head towards it.

"Okay, I'll come"

She walked towards it, when she was there she crouched down to inspect it. After further inspection, it was not a regular stone. It was a stone crate.
