Chapter 195: Emperor of the Crystal Tower (Part 1)
After setting off again from Goldenrod City, Ash's group traveled for two and a half days until they reached a mountain, where they encountered a girl with an Aipom.
"Hey, you must be Ash from Pallet Town, right? I heard from the Goldenrod City Gym Leader that you are an excellent Trainer." The girl asked Ash.
"That's right, I am Ash from Pallet Town. Do you want to battle me?" Ash saw burning fighting spirit in the young girl's eyes.
"Beautiful lady, greetings. My name is Brock, may I ask for your lovely name?" Brock appeared beside the girl as if teleporting.
"That's enough, bystanders, please move along!" Misty said, pulling Brock away with a displeased expression.
"That's right, I want to see for myself what level a Trainer who can be praised by a Gym Leader is really at. Also, my name is Lisa." Lisa said.
"A battle is no problem at all."
"Great, then let's have a three-on-three battle!"
"Fine, I'll be the referee." Brock volunteered enthusiastically, popping up again.

Granbull lost its ability to battle because of this hit.
Lisa recalled Granbull and threw out a Pokemon, saying, "It's your turn next, Girafarig!"

Ash recalled Totodile and made a Pokémon switch.
"Chikorita, use Razor Leaf."
"Jigeng~"
Chikorita whipped its large leaf on its head, launching several high-speed rotating leaves.
"Girafarig, use Telekinesis to block it!"
Girafarig glared, and an invisible force froze the incoming leaves in mid-air.
"You've got some skills. Chikorita, use Sweet Scent."
Chikorita released its natural Sweet Scent, directly reducing Girafarig's guard to zero.
Seeing this, Ash ordered again, "Very good, now use Vine Whip to finish it off!"
"Girafarig, hold on!" Lisa shouted.
Chikorita extended two vines and whipped Girafarig several times. Girafarig had a tenacious will and did not lose its ability to battle after taking a few hits.
"Chikorita, use Razor Leaf again."
"Girafarig, use Assurance!"
Girafarig endured the Razor Leaf attack, rushed in front of Chikorita, and kicked hard with its two front hooves.
After the attacks, both Pokémon collapsed.
"Girafarig and Chikorita have both lost their ability to battle." Brock shouted.
Girafarig being able to trade blows gave Lisa hope again. She said to the Aipom on her shoulder, "I'll leave the final round to you, Aipom!"

"Aipom, huh? Alright, Noctowl, I leave it to you."
Noctowl flapped its wings and flew into the air, while Aipom nimbly ran to a nearby large tree.
"Noctowl, use Air Cutter!"
Noctowl fired two air blades at the branch where Aipom was standing. The air blades instantly severed the branch, and Aipom, caught off guard, fell directly from the tree.
"Aipom, are you okay?" Lisa asked anxiously.
Aipom shook its head and then climbed back up the tree.
"Very good, Aipom, use Swift!"
Aipom aimed its tail at Noctowl and fired a large number of star-shaped rays.
"Noctowl, use Moonblast!"
With a thought, Noctowl used Moonblast to negate Aipom's attack, then flew close and knocked Aipom out with a wing strike.
After the battle, Ash's group invited Lisa to have lunch together.
"Ash, are you planning to cross the Green Grassland ahead?" Lisa suddenly asked.
Ash nodded, "That's right, crossing the Green Grassland is the fastest route to reach Yuanzhu City."
"If that's the case, I think you should change your route. Something has happened in the Green Grassland ahead; an unknown type of crystal is spreading in all directions like a virus. Furthermore, those crystals are not only aggressive but also have strong regenerative capabilities.
Now the entire Green Grassland has been blocked off by the League, and the residents of the grassland have been evacuated. I heard that the Johto League is planning to send the Elite, Lance, to investigate.
If you guys are in a hurry, I still suggest you take a detour."
"Crystals like a virus?"
Ash recalled, could this be the work of those Unown from the movie?

"Why did you pop out of your Poké Ball on your own again?" Jessie asked angrily.
Ever since she traded her Lickitung for this Wobbuffet, this guy would pop out from time to time.
