Her body moved before her mind could catch up. She made to cup his face and bring it to hers. She captured his lips in hers. She broke the kiss. "I…" She started. "We… still have a long way to go before we can full move forward." She turned her eyes down, maybe from shame that she was finally resigning herself to accepting her feelings for this man and for letting go of her resentment.
This whole matter has brought her nothing but misery and she was tired of it all. It did not help that during this whole situation the only times she ever remembered to have made her forget her troubles were ironically because of him. It really felt as though fate had played a cruel joke on her. For her to end up falling this helplessly in love with the very man who took everything from her. If she was not so worn out by her own emotions she would have probably laughed it out. "I do not know if I am ready to forgive you and move on yet. So be patient with me."
