Lenette had a frown dawning her features. To be fair on her, she had initially fretted and been in a state of distress before but now she felt all her emotional efforts were in waste. How else was she supposed to feel when the man she shot at point blank through his chest just a couple of days ago was looming over her perfectly fine, as though no such thing had happened to him. She had more surety now than ever that the man was anything but human.
"Where is he?" he asked, his voice casual and calm.
"Who are you talking about?" Lenette feigned ignorance.
"Your partner of course. I want to deal with that rat before I deal with you." he spoke in calm anger.
Lenette could understand how Caesar felt, after all she too wanted her pound of flesh with everything that happened in that abandoned factory.
