Chapter 12 - Working on the system part 1

(Alex Pov)

Alex leaning back in his chair thinks of Alexander Ashford's condition and the soul damage he has to heal alongside the genetic modifications he's making to his body.

'I know where the damage comes from after all, I have felt it and can see it.'

Alex, using his soul sight can see a pitch black energy slowly corroding Alexander's soul and getting larger like a parasite feeding on its host.

'The Abyssal energy that leaked out of my soul sure did a lot of damage in such a short amount of time.'

Alex chuckles as he thinks of how much time has actually passed in this reality since he has reincarnated.

'One hour out here was close to 20000 years to me, mentally but it does make sense even at this moment. I'm currently breaking down and processing information at such a speed that makes it so years pass in a second In my perception and this is split between all of the Partition's after all they're me and I'm them.'

'Now that I think about it, I don't really classify as human anymore after all , i'm basically a hivemind entity at this point like nergary . Wait a minute thinking about that novel gives me an idea.'

'Becoming something that is synonymous with a concept to brand my existence onto those concepts making it so I can't die unless every single branded version of that concept is destroyed.'

'But that'll have to wait after all, if I were to try it right now It would break me at a fundamental level due to the information overload Just from connecting with a concept I could heal from it almost instantly but from what I can understand it's just a better idea to be slow with things like this.'

Alex smirks.

'However, that's fine for now after all, I won't really need a stronger body or mind for a while now that I think about it. as i'm not going to go into any stronger realities for a while, I want to consolidate a firm foundation before that and another thing is that it's truly a coughing baby versus nuke in this situation After all, it would all, take is me swiping my finger to ignite this planets atmosphere entirely.'

'Even if the theoretical process is different than just swiping my finger, it's still something that can be done easily and even if they destroyed my physical body, they would then have to completely destroy all pieces of my soul and all information that exists of me.'

What am I supposed to feel towards people Who even if they used everything in their arsenal against me and can't hurt me other than pity after all , I can understand the weakness of the flesh and how it feels to be trapped inside of it instead of commanding it like I do now.

'It's disappointing how much potential would have been wasted without my interference.'

All over Alex's body cracks , start simultaneously forming instantly healing and reforming again and again in an endless cycle.

Alex stayed unnervingly still and continued his train of thought , like nothing was happening to him.

'Billions of lives , so many people that would be crippled by birth defects or genetics and even more, that would die in pointless conflicts with their own species.'

Alex let out a sigh full of disappointment at the sheer wastefulness of it all.

'I could understand If the conflicts made sense, but usually they don't and even more so it's over the littlest things like this ball of dirt, it's just a singular planet there are so many others in this singular galaxy and even more in the universe.'

'Why can't humans just see it? Oh wait, I know why we're crippled by our own stupidity and how a lot of humans seem to think that they're special when we're not, we're just another intelligent species. And I bet if any other Advanced civilization looked at us they would probably just see animals smart animals yes but animals nonetheless.'

'That are fighting each other over the smallest gains and even stupider things like skintone, hair, clothes and more but that's why I'm here to beat the civilization into them after all.'

Alex smiles as the cracks on his skin get bigger again and then heal.

'It's not like they have a choice in the matter if they don't listen , I'll make people who do it's a rather simple thing to do or I could just break their civilization over my kneecap and rebuild it from the ground up.'

'But I don't want it to come to that after all that's a very bad foundation for the civilization I'm trying to make a reality.'

'But right now I need to slow down my thoughts , my body is breaking down , trying to keep up with the speed of my mind/soul and this isn't a large soul either really the materials in this reality are really sup par .'

'But it does make sense from what I can understand. The genetics of all creatures on this planet , including humans , are not built to carry a soul like mine, especially not in its current state no matter how much I optimize them.'

'It's like pouring molten lava into a glass vase Sure it can hold on for a little bit But then it cracks and explodes this body is like that accept when the cracks show up , my body instantly heals them and adapts but my soul also adapts to that adaptation growing stronger as well.'

'It's time to slow down and let my current body passively adapt to it overtime instead compared to the brute force approach I'm doing now and I also have to finish healing Alexander. I lost myself in my train of thought.'

Alex takes a deep breath turns off his thought acceleration and exhale fully grounding his thoughts and soul with the cracks on his body disappearing now that he's not straining himself

Alex's perception , at least to him, slows down to a grinding halt with 1 second only being one hundred seconds instead of 5.56 years in his perception like it was before.

Alex shakes his head getting used to the difference while focusing on Alexander Ashford and his soul.

'Thankfully this is easy to deal with.'

Alex , then uses his soul to reach out and interfaces with Alexander Ashford's soul then using the connection he just made Alex reads the information he needs to repair Alexander Ashford's soul.

Alex whistles as he breaks down all the necessary information he needed to heal him.

'It's a good thing a soul stores information so it can repair itself to its previous state if it were to take damage.'

Alex then slowly pulls the abyssal energy out of Alexander Ashford's soul, absorbing it watching as his soul tried to instinctually repair itself the moment the foreign energy left its system.

'But this process has many flaws as energy is needed for a soul to repair itself And if it doesn't find energy, it will start to consume itself, break or dissipate, depending on the damage that has occurred to the soul's structure.'

'At the same time , the soul needs something to guide it through the repair process if this doesn't occur , and it just gets the energy necessary to heal , how the soul heals could be wrong , leading to memories being lost , or a fundamental change in personality occurring'

Alex then gives Alexander's soul the energy it needs to repair itself and then guides the process , making sure his soul repairs itself properly utilizing the information he got earlier.

'Well, then that's over, might as well start optimizing the system I'm making.'

I hope you all liked the chapter even if it was small.

This gets into more of Alex's perception of things.

How is life itself is the potential to do anything and everything you want you just have to be prepared for the consequences of your own actions and the fact that things will not go your way. After all, that's not how the world works unless you make it work that way through your own efforts.

Also something you might notice is that Alex is going to have a very hard time Acting like a normal human.

As he is not one at all after all , what is twenty years compared to thousands even if he can perfectly remember all of his members through using his abilities.

That's still a really long time, and it would make no sense for him to psychologically stay the same unless I were to add in a plot point where he locks in his core personality traits but that's boring and doesn't allow for any character growth.

Beyond certain set limitations

But other than that stuff.
