For months, Ann did not hear a thing from Van. He saw her messages, though, and reacted once or twice, but she knew he had been trying to limit his communication because of everything going on at the time. What Ann did not expect, however, was the bloodshed that followed.
There were no details about what exactly Van did. He never said more than he was supposed to, but she could pinpoint a few people who were involved, and Jane's father was one of them. Ann knew the day Van took over. He had texted her, "I won," that very night, but she was restless.
A few days later, she saw on the news that someone was wanted by the government for having something illegal, along with a list of technical jargon she did not understand. Among the people wanted, Luther was mentioned, which she found strange, considering that he worked for them. It made Ann really wonder, what did Van do?
