In the West, the nations that believed in the Beast God ruled, the total landmass was about forty percent of the continent, while in the East, Nations which believed in the Dragon God ruled, they comprised the remaining sixty percent of the continent. The belief of the Sea God was concentrated on the edges of the continent, as well as around major rivers; however, most forms of worship occurred in the underwater cities of the Sea folk.
The West was fertile, rivers flowed endlessly from the Helio mountain range, and brought abundance to the land. Every inch of the land could be cultivated, even some areas of the Helio mountain range, giving birth to many magical and mystical plants. However, the east lacked important metal deposits. It had only a few iron and gold mines. The East lacked metals.
In the West, the land wasn't as fertile; few areas were cultivable, but it was extremely rich in mineral deposits... Legends say the West was blessed after Dragon God drowned it in lightning for a decade or two... As for why, nobody knows. The followers of the Beast claim God had a fit, whilst followers of the Dragon treat it as a religious event. They even have festivals where they smote people to death for celebration.
In the Eastern lands, in the Empire of the Dragon, Auranthos, A cathedral stood in the middle of a bustling city, the capital of capitals of the Alapurian continent. The city that even Miniac fell short of, Auranth. The Cathedral was grand and majestic, with blue and crimson spires reaching all the way to the sky. The base and main body of the Cathedral were constructed with stone, quartz, and white marble. It exuded an aura of holiness, and one's hair would stand on end if they approached.
It was like lightning was in the area, seeping into their bodies, jolting them awake, and reminding them of God's power. Inside this Cathedral, in the main hall, a young man sat silently and prayed to the deity.
He was covered head to toe in an ancient, imposing heavy plate of armor, crimson in color and overpowering in nature.
The helmet is a full enclosure, rounded and smooth at the crown with a visor that narrows into a severe, angular face. It has a somewhat inhuman quality to it; the proportions are slightly off from a normal human face, giving the young man an imposing, almost monstrous silhouette. The visor slits are narrow and dark, revealing nothing of the face within. However, magic made it possible for the young man to see clearly even through those narrow slits.\
The shoulder plates are large and layered, overlapping like the scales of a great dragon. The chest piece is broad and barrel-like, built for someone of immense physical stature. Every plate is thick and rounded, designed to deflect rather than absorb, but they could also conduct.
The arms are fully encased in articulated plates, each segment overlapping the next to allow movement without sacrificing protection. The gauntlets are heavy and thick-fingered, reinforced at the knuckles. Countless magic circles were embedded in the cold metal; what purpose they served was unknown...
The greaves cover the shins completely, and the cuisses protect the thighs with the same overlapping scale. There was a plate skirt as well, clinging tightly to the greaves but never hindering movement.
It was a bit impractical, but magic made it practical! Countless magic circles were embedded into the metal plates, offering a plethora of abilities, ranging from convenience to immense destructive power.
The young man's hands were clasped tightly as he was immersed in prayer. After a while, he stopped and walked towards a door to the side of the hall. He entered, and after walking for an unknown period of time, going through multiple artifacts, paintings, and statues, he arrived in another room.
The room was big, but lacked any significant décor, only a red carpet and three thrones at the end. Situated on top of these three thrones were three knights; their armor was exactly the same as the one the youth wore, with the only difference being in the helmet.
The helmet of the knight to the left extended upwards, almost like a spear. Of the knight in the middle, two crescent protrusions were present at each side, as well as one on the top. Of the one on the right, it was as if a crown of thorns was present on the top, clinching the helmet, deforming it.
The young man bowed in front of these three and said.
"I greet the three dragons."
His voice was young, no older than twenty-five, and his manners and eloquent speech gave away the fact that he came from noble origins.
The Knight in the middle, the All Knowing Dragon, nodded and said.
"Arise, William, a mission is prepared for you."
Following her words, the young man stood up, eagerly awaiting details of his new 'mission.' The All-Knowing Dragon didn't waste any time and got straight to the point.
"A strange mana anomaly has been detected at the other end of the continent, in the forest of the Beast. God has assigned great importance to it and has chosen you to investigate the anomaly.
A surge of mana of unknown origin appeared; it had traits of Death mixed in, suitable artifacts have been prepared, and a certain amount of 'authority' is ready to be bestowed.
Go and investigate, and if possible, cause some conflict within the lands of the Beast, anything that can cause tensions between the East and West to rise. Sacrifice your life if necessary."
The young man didn't question anything, only smashing the right side of his chest with his left hand as he bowed.
"Yes, your Eminence."
