"I Summon Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon again," Jonouchi declared. "When it's Summoned a second time, it stops being a Normal Monster and becomes an Effect Monster!"
"And its effect is: once per turn, it can destroy all monsters on your field whose DEF is lower than this card's ATK!"
"But Jonouchi," Yugi shot back, "my Dark Magician of Chaos has 2900 DEF. You can't destroy it!"
"Normally, yeah." Jonouchi grinned. "But with this card… it's different."
He slapped a card down.
"What?!"
"I activate the Equip Spell Claw of the Dark Dragon Tribe!"
Kisaragi's lips curled upward.
"So that's the angle," she said softly. "I'll admit it—I'm starting to respect Jonouchi more. His Duels always find a way to surprise you."
"This Equip Spell can only be equipped to a DARK monster, and it raises ATK by 600! I equip it to Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon!"
Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon (3100/1200)
"Now my monster's ATK exceeds your Dark Magician of Chaos's DEF," Jonouchi said. "Which means—"
Dark Yugi's expression tightened.
"I activate Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon's effect! Destroy all monsters you control!"
Lightning speared into the sky. The arena darkened with heavy storm clouds. In the next instant, the field became a cage of thunder—bolt after bolt smashing down onto Dark Yugi's side.
One by one, his monsters were blown apart by the electrical barrage.
"Now you've got no monsters left!" Jonouchi barked. "Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon attacks directly!"
"Jonouchi… you're too naïve!" Dark Yugi snapped, flipping a card.
"I activate the Trap Gravity Release! This card changes the battle positions of all monsters on the field—so your Evil Demon is switched to Defense Position!"
A massive wave of gravity rippled outward. Under the crushing force, Jonouchi's monster couldn't resist and was forced into a defensive stance.
"Tch… so you had a Trap like that." Jonouchi clicked his tongue. "I set one card. Turn end." (Cards in hand: 2)
"What a splendid exchange," Pegasus purred. "But Game Boy—how do you intend to defeat Jonouchi Boy's Evil Demon now?"
Dark Yugi's Turn
"My turn—draw!"
"I activate the Spell Dark Magic Veil from my hand! I pay 1000 Life Points… and Special Summon Magician of Dark Illusion from my Graveyard!"

Magician of Dark Illusion (2100/2500)
"Battle! Magician of Dark Illusion attacks Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon!"
Jonouchi smirked. "Then I activate the effect of Claw of the Dark Dragon Tribe!"
"When the equipped monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, it's immediately Special Summoned back from the Graveyard, and this Equip Spell re-equips itself!"

"So it came back again…" Dark Yugi muttered.

"Out of any duel I've ever watched," Mai said, sweat beading along her temple, "this one ranks near the top in sheer intensity."
If I fought either of them at full power… I'd get OTK'd on the spot, she thought, grimacing.
Pegasus clapped lightly.
"Two excellent duelists. I've decided—I'll preserve this duel for history, as one of my treasured collectibles."
Neither Jonouchi nor Dark Yugi even looked his way. They both knew: one misstep was all it would take to lose.
Jonouchi's Turn
"My turn—draw!"
"I Summon Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon again—and I activate its effect! Yugi, I'm destroying your monsters again!"
"Jonouchi—don't expect me to fall for the same trick twice!" Dark Yugi snapped. "I activate a Trap!"
"What—another Trap?!" Jonouchi blurted out.
"I activate Eternal Illusion of Dark Magician! This turn, my DARK Spellcasters with 2000+ ATK cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects!"
"And since Magician of Dark Illusion is on the field, I activate its effect—Special Summon Dark Magician from the Graveyard!"
Dark Magician (2500/2100)
"If your effect won't destroy them…" Jonouchi's eyes sharpened. "Then I'll do it with battle!"
"Battle! Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon attacks Magician of Dark Illusion!"
Lightning struck—dead center.
But Magician of Dark Illusion didn't fall.
"Because of Eternal Illusion of Dark Magician, my monster can't be destroyed in battle either," Dark Yugi said coldly.
"Yeah—maybe," Jonouchi snarled. "But you still take the battle damage!"

"I activate Graceful Charity! I draw three cards… then discard two!"

"ATK 3200?!" Jonouchi gasped.
"Battle!"
"Dark Magician attacks Meteor Black Comet Dragon—Evil Demon—Dark Magic!"

"And then—Magician of Dark Illusion attacks directly!"
"If Jonouchi takes that hit," Bakura muttered, "his Life Points are basically finished!"
"Jonouchi…" Mai whispered, forcing his name out like it hurt.
"I activate the Trap Enchanted Javelin – Super Z!"**
"When I would take 2000 or more battle damage, I can activate this during damage calculation. I recover 4000 LP!"
"No, you won't!" Dark Yugi barked. "I activate Magician Navigation's effect—from the Graveyard!"
"What? A Trap effect from the Graveyard?!" Jonouchi shouted.
"As long as Magician Navigation is in my Graveyard and I control Dark Magician, I can banish this card (that wasn't sent to the Graveyard this turn) to target one face-up Spell/Trap you control—its effects are negated until the end of this turn!"
"I negate Enchanted Javelin – Super Z!"
"Aaagh!!"
