"Teacher Kurenai, what's wrong?" Shikamaru asked when he noticed her distracted expression.
"Oh—n-nothing." Kurenai came back to her senses and waved it off.
"Teacher Kurenai, it's getting late. We won't disturb you any longer. You should rest," Shikamaru said thoughtfully.
"Alright. Be careful on your way back," Kurenai replied, walking them to the door.
After stepping outside, Shikamaru turned to Kaien.
"Kaien, it's late. Be careful heading home."
"Got it." Kaien waved and turned in the opposite direction.
It was indeed late. He hadn't been home for two nights. If he delayed any longer, Mother Kushina would definitely be upset.
After the trio left, Kurenai slowly walked toward the restroom.
She paused at the doorway.
"Sniff… sniff…"
Her brows knit together. The faint scent in the air was unmistakable.
Her gaze dropped to the area beneath the sink, where a small, sticky puddle remained.
She hesitated for a moment before lightly touching it and bringing her finger to her nose.
"The smell of cum…" she murmured.
A faint blush spread across her cheeks.
That scoundrel Kaien. He really had dared to do something in her house.
Her thoughts raced.

Kushina was sitting on the sofa watching TV. The moment she heard the door open, she stood up and walked over.
"Where have you been these past few days? You didn't come home for two nights."
"Naruto arranged training for me. I needed to improve my strength," Kaien explained smoothly.
He certainly couldn't admit he'd been with other women.
"I just broke through to Special Jonin," he added proudly, wrapping an arm around her slender waist.
"You did?"
"Mm. Yesterday. Impressive, right?"
"My Kaien is amazing," Kushina praised warmly.
He laughed, leaning down to kiss her cheek.
"So… is there a reward?" he teased.
"What kind of reward do you want?" Kushina blinked innocently, though her gaze held unmistakable charm.
He whispered something into her ear.
"You stinky brat, always so improper!" she scolded—but her tone was soft, almost playful.
Without waiting, Kaien swept her into his arms and carried her upstairs.
That night was filled with warmth and laughter.
Morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the bed.
Kushina slowly opened her eyes. Though slightly tired, a faint smile rested on her lips.
Just then—
Ring, ring, ring.
The phone beside the pillow vibrated.
"Hello?" Kushina answered.
"Mom? Why are you picking up? Where's Kaien?" Naruto's voice sounded confused.
Realizing it was Kaien's phone, Kushina quickly composed herself.
"He's still sleeping. Is something wrong?"
"Nothing serious. I just heard from Shikamaru that he was promoted to Special Jonin, so I called to confirm," Naruto replied.
At that moment, Kaien stirred awake, hearing the conversation. A mischievous smile tugged at his lips.
Kushina suddenly let out a soft sound and quickly covered her mouth, shooting Kaien a warning glance.
"Mom? Are you okay?" Naruto asked, puzzled.
"I-I'm fine," she replied hurriedly. "He's awake now. I'll let him talk to you."
She quickly handed over the phone.
"Hello, brother Naruto. What's up?" Kaien asked casually.
"Just confirming your promotion. Not bad," Naruto said. "Consolidate your strength. When you're ready, come see me."
"Understood."
Naruto hung up soon after.
Kaien tossed the phone aside.
Kushina sat up and lightly punched his chest, "You're too bold. What if Naruto heard something?"
"What's there to fear? At worst, we tell him the truth," Kaien chuckled.
"No!" Kushina shook her head firmly. "Our relationship must remain quiet. It can't be known."
He looked at her seriously. "I don't want you to feel wronged."
She gently stroked his hair, "I'm not wronged. I'm happy. Let's just stay quietly happy like this."
He nodded. "Mm."
She smiled.
"Now stop worrying. Once we're done being lazy, we should get up."
The room filled with soft laughter and warmth once more—quiet happiness, just as she wished.
