Kaien carefully helped Sister Temari up and led her toward the restroom.
Kurenai glanced at them in confusion, not quite understanding why Temari needed the restroom.
After a moment, she assumed Temari wanted to rinse her ankle and didn't think further, continuing her conversation with Shikamaru.
Inside the bathroom, Kaien turned on the faucet for cover. The sound of running water filled the small space.
Before Temari could say anything, he pulled her gently into his arms.
"Sister Temari, don't hurt yourself like that again," he said softly, a hint of reproach in his voice—but filled with tenderness.
"It's all because of you, you little rascal," Temari pouted. "If you hadn't teased me, would I have needed to twist my ankle?"
"Alright, alright. My fault."
He kissed her lightly. She closed her eyes and leaned into him, letting herself melt in his embrace.
In the living room, Shikamaru continued chatting with Kurenai, completely unaware that his wife was pressed against Kaien in the restroom.
They had grown increasingly bold. What began as subtle touches in crowded places had now escalated to stolen intimacy under the same roof.
"Does it still hurt?" Kaien asked softly after breaking the kiss.
"It doesn't hurt when you kiss me," Temari replied, her gaze hazy and flushed.
"And what about this?" he teased, brushing his fingers teasingly along her curves.
She let out a faint hum, cheeks burning brighter.
Suddenly—
Knock knock.
They both froze.
"How's Temari?" Shikamaru's voice sounded from outside.
"N-nothing! I'm fine now!"
Temari quickly slipped from Kaien's arms and sat down, pretending to apply medicine.
The door clicked open as Shikamaru stepped in.
"Should we go to the hospital?" he asked, concerned.
"No need. It's just a small sprain. If people find out I twisted my ankle walking, they'll laugh at me," Temari replied calmly.
Shikamaru studied her ankle, nodded, and left the restroom.
The door shut again.
"Phew…" Temari exhaled shakily. "That was close."
Kaien chuckled near her ear. "Wasn't it thrilling?"
"You little brat. You've completely corrupted me," she muttered shyly, lightly hitting his chest.
But her racing heartbeat betrayed her excitement.
"Does Sister Temari like it?" Kaien asked gently, holding her hand.
She hesitated only a second before nodding faintly.
Seeing that, Kaien leaned closer. "Then help me a little… I'm uncomfortable."
"Now?!" Her face burned crimson. Shikamaru and Kurenai were only in the next room. They could walk in at any moment.
Yet despite her shock, she didn't push him away.
She knelt briefly, hands trembling, before rising again quickly, choosing restraint over recklessness.
"That's enough," she whispered urgently. "We can't stay here any longer."
Kaien understood. This wasn't the place to push their luck.
A few moments later, he stepped out first.
"How is she?" Shikamaru asked.
"She should be fine," Kaien replied, sitting on the sofa as if nothing had happened.
Not long after, Temari emerged as well. A faint blush lingered on her face.
Kurenai's eyes narrowed, "Temari, your face is very red. Are you unwell?"
"No… it's nothing," Temari replied quickly.
But as she passed by, Kurenai caught a faint scent—one she recognized far too well.
Her gaze slowly shifted to Kaien.
Memories from two nights ago surfaced vividly in her mind. The scent was unmistakable.
Her eyes darkened.
Could it be…?
In Kurenai's mind, Temari betraying Shikamaru seemed impossible. But Kaien…
That scoundrel possessed a dangerous charm—and a "weapon" she herself hadn't been able to resist.
Her suspicion grew.
Had Kaien dared to do something inappropriate in her own restroom?
