Space starts to change around me, I was falling up, then down, and up again. I can't tell up from down anymore as my body is thrown around like a rag in a dryer. Colors blur around me; it was both pretty and nauseating at the same time.
I shut my eyes; the nausea was starting to get to me. I don't get why she couldn't give me a warning or something! Answer a couple of my questions, what was with the sudden drop off anyways? Recarnate-. . . Transmigrate. . . Did I die in my sleep, or was I ripped from my world? How did I even get there?
Most of all, why me?
World-hopping is never simple! I mean, I doubt it was a luck thing. I must have died or something, regardless, I doubt there is anyone left that would care if I disappeared. . . That came out more depressing than I meant.

I got launched sideways into a wall. The pain was dull, or rather, the 'pain' felt more like a notification that I had taken damage and where I took damage than actual pain.

I ignored the notification in favor of looking around. The wall I got launched into was a pile of bricks from a destroyed house. Looking around, this place seems vacant and destroyed, like a kaiju came around and bashed the whole place up.
I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. When you think of Pokémon and anime, you think of training monsters to fight monsters, and anime has massive amounts of unnecessary but welcome fan service.

I'd better see what I get for the level-ups. I take out my phone, it's a sleek black with a Vault-Tech logo. a gold circle with 3 lines on both sides, below has a gold number 3 on it. After getting a good look at the phone, it's definitely stylish. I press the power button on the side of the phone.

Why didn't I have to do this the first time? I suppose all questions can wait till after I get out of ultra space. It's not like anyone can answer my questions.
My phone had a few apps. Mainly a search engine, Pmail, PokeDoc, Camera, Settings, an app store, and an app labeled S.P.E.C.I.A.L. One could only guess it's my info sheet. I clicked on the app named S.P.E.C.I.A.L, opening my character sheet to pick perks and up skills.
I want to up my Search in hopes of finding treasure, but 36 points won't make much of a difference right now. Only skill checks I've gotten so far are from Pokémon Knowledge. Pokémon Knowledge seems like a good skill after all, who knows if Pokedex even exists yet.
That train of thought brought to my attention the idea about what kind of Pokémon Earth this is. This is definitely a parallel world, but how goofy are we talking here? On the scale of regular Pokémon to DxD levels of freakiness.
With that thought running its course, I poured all of my points into Pokémon Knowledge, which seems like a useful skill.
How are the points you gain for skills even calculated?
Intelligence check 8/7 Pass.
Skill points are 10 + Intelligence, that's why I had 36 skill points to put in Pokémon Knowledge. So high Intelligence is a good move? I don't want to spend my first levels maxing out Intelligence, rather their is probably items to up my S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats anyway.
I didn't meet the level requirements for ANY good perks; only 4 of them seem good, none pokemon related. I picked Intense Training twice. It was that or Swift Learner, or Lady Killer.
Swift Learner - +10% bonus to Experience Points earned
Lady Killer - +10% damage against female opponents. Additional dialogue options with certain female characters.
Intense Training - Put a single point into any of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes.
I put 1 point into Intelligence and Endurance. I'd be more willing to max out Luck than that. It's not like I hate being smart, but looking at where I am in the Pokémon universe with NO Pokemon, upping my intelligence seems more likely to get me killed. The skill points are appreciated, though.

My lip twitched, not stealthy, got it.
I picked a random direction and started walking. I just might be capital C cooked. I have nothing; any food I could find here would be expired. My only real hope is finding an Ultra Wormhole, or people, and in this dead world, finding a rift in space and time is more likely.
All I can do is pray and hope there is only one Guzzlord on this planet, because if there is, what are the chances of running into the only one on the planet?

At this point, I'm certain Luck doesn't do jack shit. I ran faster than I ever had in my life, whether it's because of my fight or flight reaction, or because 5 Agility is faster than pre-transmigrated Adam doesn't matter.
What does matter is that 5 seconds after I started running, I glanced over my shoulder. Multiple black maws came from out of the ground from where I was standing earlier.

I halled ass like never before. I prayed silently as I ran. 'Please, if there is anything right in this world, GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!'

I ducked into the alley and took as many shortcuts as I could. I could feel my heart roaring in my chest. I wanted to scream for my life as I ran, but Intelligence told me that if I did, I'd die before I could finish.

I felt something bite the back of my leg, causing me to fall to the ground. I looked back just in time to see Guzzlord tear off a piece of my leg. I may not feel pain, but I do feel fear. As soon as I got close to the portal, that fucker got my leg. Was it playing with me the whole time, just waiting for me to get a little hope of escape before ripping it away, just like a piece of my leg?
Charisma check 8/7 Pass.
That fucker was! This whole damn time that vicious monster was toying with me. It could have killed me by bursting from the ground, but it didn't. Guzzlord wanted me to fight back; it wanted me to know how I died. That bitch!
Guzzlord slowly inched closer. Guzzlord is not a fast Pokémon by any means compared to most, but it's slow, sure, you won't escape walk, it was like it was trying to tell me I'd die no matter what.
Ignore my wounds and my mental exhaustion. I poured what little strength I had into my legs and arms and launched myself on all fours at the ultra wormhole.

The same maw that bit my leg bit into my side, attempting to keep me here, but as luck would have it, if you could call it that, the maw bit hard. Biting through, taking my flesh but not stopping me, allowing me to tumble through the ultra wormhole. The rift grew smaller as I tumbled through, ultimately closing.
Roar!
I could hear Guzzlord roaring in fury behind me, but I did it, I survived! Notifications rang through my head as I traveled through the wormhole; this time, the travel wasn't as violent. More of a calm fall than a messy tumble.

How is it that I have 8 points in Luck, yet off spawn I'm getting diddled by a legendary? Maybe I should put more points into Luck because I feel like it's either that I don't have enough luck, or this was rigged from the start.

I find myself being launched out of the Ultra Wormhole. My eyes adjusted quickly, and I could see some people running, others hiding, watching from a distance. I could understand the reasoning, as people rarely survive Ultra Space, and those that do come out of an Ultra Wormhole are violent Ultra Beasts.
"Sweet, Sweet civilization!" Love to see a place not in ruins.
I look at the Ultra Wormhole just to make sure nothing is coming after me.
"Something came out!" shouted a kid being pulled away by his parent.
"Where are all gonna die!" sobbed a blonde woman, who I'm 90% sure has PTSD.
"Um, everyone is ok. . . not gonna lie, I was not expecting this after running for my life." Did I say that last part out loud?

A/N: Adam was NOT lucky, I mean, I guess you COULD say he survived by luck, and because of that, he reached a higher level so soon. New Pokémon-based perks coming in the next chapter.
