Lucrezia shifted her gaze to see Maverick properly from the corner where her head rested as she let out a strained protesting sound when he still didn't do what she was waiting for.
She arched back even harder, trying to get it to his fingers but Maverick shifted his hand away, leaving her flustered.
Even her mind loathed her for this unbecoming behaviour as it kept ringing in her head, reminding her of just how silly she looked right now.
However, her body was saying otherwise. She subconsciously continued to move towards him the more he left her hanging but his firm grip on her neck pushed her back into position against the wall.
"Maverick..." She called him name longingly as a subtle glint of mischief clouded his eyes.
"Hmm?" He answered, bringing his ear closer to her face to hear what she had to say.
