The walk back from the training grounds was quiet. Leo and Kai'sa moved side by side through the academy paths, the weight of the provocation still hanging in the air. Leo's cognitive sense remained alert, but he kept his expression calm.
"They're getting predictable," Kai'sa said softly, a hint of irritation in her voice. "Same tired tactics, same attempt to make you look like the aggressor. It's almost boring."
Leo nodded. "They're testing how far they can push. We just need to not give them the satisfaction."
When they reached the abandoned garden, the rest of the small circle was already waiting. Aria sat on the stone bench, shoulders still slightly hunched. Garrett leaned against the wall with his usual steady presence. Lira stood nearby, her warm, fluffy form offering quiet comfort.
Leo gave them a quick summary of what happened. Aria's eyes filled with guilt again.
"I'm sorry," she whispered. "This keeps happening because of me."
