MADDOX's POV
''So all we have to do is…..'' Roman's words was barely a blur.
I couldn't help but sniff, my nostrils flaring.
The heavy scent of her still followed us down the corridor, choking my lungs and turning my blood rigid.
Even the distant, muffled sound of Roman's talking, the chaos of the pack and the savage wolf howls tearing through the eastern orchard, my mind was still trapped in that bedroom, in that scent.
I inhaled sharply, curling my hand into fist and trying to stay afloat.
Every time I closed my eyes, the image scorched my retinas—Vivienne, standing there in nothing but a damp towel, her dark, tangled hair dripping moisture onto her flushed skin.
The way her exposed breasts had risen and fallen with her frantic breathing.
But it was the scent that was driving my wolf to the absolute brink of madness.
It wasn't just her usual scent anymore.
