(Sapphire's POV)
I stood there for God knows how long.
They kept talking, making new plans on what to do next and I heard everything from so far away.
I was so close, yet so far.
Damian had not killed Luke.
"Get a hold of yourself, Sapphire." I muttered harshly, and turned around as quietly as I could.
"Sapphire?" My mother was right in front of me. She gasped in surprise and quickly placed the cups of coffee she had in her hand and quickly walked towards me. "Oh, my baby!"
She pulled me into a hug.
God, why was she being so loud?
"How have you been? You didn't tell us you were coming." She asked.
"I've actually missed you guys and wanted a change of environment tonight. Maybe I was probably just being homesick." I smiled at her.
Before she could say something, the door to my father's office opened and he walked out.
"Sapphire!" He exclaimed softly. "We didn't expect you here today." He was smiling, but he also looked nervous. "How long have you been standing there?"
