(Sapphire's POV)
The rain outside came down angrily like the earth had complained too much of thirst and now it wanted to drown it.
Whatever had pissed the rain must have pissed me too because my mood this cold evening was so bad that I felt like screaming at someone or something.
I was angry, angry at Luke for dying at such a young age.
Angry at myself for sending him to my house at such a wrong time.
Angry at Damian for murdering him.
But most of all, I was angry at myself for not doing anything about his death.
For being too scared to even confront the man who had killed my best friend.
I was a weakling.
Unable to do anything!
"Mrs Blackwood, Ma'am." A knock on my door startled me as Vera called from outside.
I took a deep breath to calm myself down, then quickly walked to the bathroom to wash my face so it doesn't look like I've been crying.
"Coming, Vera." I called out to her.
"Okay, ma'am."
I dried my face and walked to the door.
