Chapter 328 - Chapter 328: Loki's Overthinking

There were many people on Earth who were troubled, but in Asgard, there was only one: the All-Father, God King Odin, who was sitting on the throne with his chin resting on his hand. He had a terrible headache right now because his eldest son was being disobedient again, throwing a childish tantrum and making a racket about wanting to go to Midgard. This made Odin, who was already troubled, even more annoyed. What kind of thing had he raised! Why couldn't he be obedient? Now, only Loki, who was being kept in prison, brought him peace of mind, though that was forced peace of mind. Sometimes Odin spent his time in self-doubt; perhaps he really wasn't cut out for raising children.

"Father Odin, I want to go to Midgard to see the woman I love, Jane. I Hope you can agree."

Thor, this guy, was a straight shooter who didn't know how to beat around the bush; he stated his purpose directly, which made Odin's anger burn even hotter. This unfilial son, thinking about women from Midgard all day—couldn't he focus on learning how to release his divine power? Playing with that hammer that controlled divine power all day, had he forgotten what kind of god he was? Why don't you just rename yourself 'Thor, the God of Hammers'? A brat who can't even release his instinctual power, not practicing properly, just eating, drinking, and dating all day—don't you know Ragnarok is coming soon? Thinking about how he was blackmailed by Artoria for the good treasures in the vault when trying to save this child, Odin could barely contain his surging divine power and wanted to use gungnir to poke a few holes in Thor. But in the end, Odin suppressed it with the suggestion that 'this is my cub, I can't kill him'.

"Go to your mother and learn and train properly on how to control your divine power. If you haven't learned it, I'll tell you clearly: don't even think about stepping one foot out of Asgard."

Facing Thor's'stupid look', the clearly heartbroken father didn't want to spoil this child anymore and decided to give him some trials. If he couldn't complete them, he wouldn't be able to do what he wanted. After saying this, Odin didn't want to hear any more of Thor's excuses and waved his hand. Thor was knocked backward out of the palace as if he had been punched hard by a giant. Even the Mjolnir he was clutching flew out of his hand and landed at Odin's feet. It seemed he really wanted to temper Thor properly, not even allowing him to keep his weapon. Perhaps Odin had already realized that having such a convenient and powerful weapon had begun to limit the progress of Thor's strength.

"My hammer~!"

After flying out of the palace, Thor wasn't hurt, but compared to that, what saddened him the most was that he had lost his hammer once again. But this time, his sadness didn't last long; after all, the hammer hadn't fallen into another world, nor did he need to go to great lengths to find it. As long as he met his father's requirements, the hammer would naturally return. Although he was extremely reluctant, he could only bid his hammer a temporary farewell for now. But he believed the hammer would return soon; after all, he was Thor, the God of Thunder, and nothing could stump the God of Thunder.

"Did you make your father angry again, child?"

Seeing Thor walking over dejectedly, Queen Frigga, who knew what kind of personality this 'cheap' son had, smiled and straightened Thor's messy cape, removing the grass from his hair. Looking at Thor, who had grown into an adult, Frigga felt a surge of emotion. But when she thought of Loki, who was still in prison, a trace of guilt flashed in her eyes. It was her lack of proper guidance that led Loki down the path of evil and turned him into this.

"I just said I wanted to go to Midgard to find my girlfriend, Jane, but Father doesn't seem to allow it. He told me I have to learn to control my divine power first, so I came here, Mother."

Facing Frigga's concern, no matter how much of a tiff he was having with Odin, Thor still smiled foolishly at his mother, Frigga. But his words made Frigga's eyes widen. Jane? This woman's name wasn't Artoria. What was going on? Had things between her son and Artoria fallen through? How did Artoria break up with Thor? At this, Frigga was completely dumbfounded. A 'pre-determined daughter-in-law' was just gone, especially since Thor was the child she favored most; how could he not hold onto her? Who was this Jane? What kind of sacred being was she to have lured her son away?

"Thor, tell me quickly, what exactly is going on between you and Miss Artoria?"

Thrown by this sudden turn of events caused by Thor, Frigga felt her heart wasn't working too well. She took a deep breath, hoping her son wouldn't anger her, and asked him to explain exactly what was going on. What exactly is your relationship with Artoria, and especially that girl named Jane? What is the relationship between the three of you? Right now, Frigga felt her brain wasn't quite enough to process it.

"Artoria is just a friend; Jane is my girlfriend. She is a native of Midgard and doesn't have power like Artoria, but I have fallen deeply in love with her."

Hearing his mother's question, Thor told Frigga everything without hesitation. Realizing that her daughter-in-law might not be Artoria, Frigga was visibly very disappointed. But looking at the happy smile on her son's face, she felt some words stuck in her throat, unable to be spoken, which was very uncomfortable. At the same time, Frigga became interested in this ordinary Midgardian Thor described, Jane. What kind of person could make Thor, who had seen all kinds of goddesses in Asgard without making a move, even abandon the beautiful Artoria? What kind of magic did this woman have?

"Next time, bring her to Asgard! Let me and your father see her."

Looking lovingly at her son, as long as her son liked her, there was no need to worry about their parents' affairs; after all, this was her son's own choice. Although she preferred that her son marry Artoria—after all, that was the girl she had interacted with, and she could see that the girl actually hid a very kind innocence in her heart—she still liked Artoria.

"Yes, Mother."

Facing his mother's nearly supportive and tolerant attitude, Thor was as happy as a five-hundred-pound fat man. In his excellent mood, his appetite increased twofold today. After eating, Thor obediently followed Frigga to learn how to use and control his divine power. For Thor, who usually only knew how to clench his fists and charge or smash people with a hammer, this was simply a disaster; Thor's progress was not going well at all.

"Loki, do you still not understand your erroneous thinking?"

After reprimanding his eldest son, Odin, taking advantage of the remaining time, went directly to the Asgardian underground prison to bring food to his second son and see if he had any intention of reflecting. At this moment, seeing Odin in the prison, Loki's expression didn't seem to show particularly intense emotions. He had done what he should have done, and he had done what he shouldn't have, but he could never gain everyone's approval. Thus, he no longer had his original ambition. He just looked at Odin quietly, saying nothing. This made Odin feel extremely uncomfortable. Although Loki was adopted, after so many years, even raising a puppy would create an emotional bond, wouldn't it? He had long considered Loki his own son, but it seemed his parenting had indeed been a failure.

"Asgard will soon cease to exist, Loki. I Hope you can live on well."

Treated this way by Loki's cold attitude, Odin still left behind a sentence. This sentence wasn't finished, so the meaning was very strange. Loki was shocked by Odin's words. What did it mean that Asgard would cease to exist? What exactly did it mean? Just as Loki wanted to ask, Odin had already put down the food and walked away. Watching Odin's departing back, Loki couldn't get the words he wanted to say out. That back, which was once as majestic as a hill, now seemed so old. Loki felt something stuck in his throat, unable to speak.

"Ah~!"

Odin's words made Loki think a lot. Being smart, he easily imagined things to be very bad, but things hadn't been verified, and too much speculation easily led to wrong ideas. He thought something had happened to his mother, Frigga, which was why Odin said such things and why Odin was so old. Anger rushed to his head, and powerful magic erupted from Loki, blasting everything in the prison away, but it couldn't shake the prison door in the slightest. Loki crouched on the ground, his terrified expression indicating he had started overthinking, and none of his overthinking was good. If Odin knew that this sentence made Loki anxious, he would definitely be speechless.
