It was another quiet, lazy morning in the Watson house.
Mrs. Watson was standing near the kitchen counter, busy preparing breakfast, when a pair of soft hands suddenly wrapped gently around her waist from behind.
A warm cheek rested softly against her shoulder, and she could hear the quiet, even breathing of someone with their eyes still closed.
Mrs. Watson smiled instantly, her heart melting because she knew exactly who it was.
"Anak..." she murmured softly.
"Hmm..." came the sleepy reply.
"What happened, dear?"
"Nothing, mom. Just... I love you," Jay replied, her lips curving into a sweet smile while keeping her lazy eyes shut tight against her shoulder.
Mom let out a happy chuckle, her heart warming up completely.
"I love you too, my child," she replied softly, leaning back slightly into the sweet embrace.
"Mom..." Jay murmured again after a quiet moment.
"Hmm?"
"What are you doing?"
"Me? I'm preparing something special," Mrs. Watson said, her hands moving expertly across the counter.
Hearing the word 'special,' Jay opened her eyes, peeking over Mrs. Watson's shoulder with curiosity.
"Special? For me? Just for me?"
Mrs watson chuckled.
And before she could say something....
"Of course not. She has much more special kids too," a deep, mischievous voice suddenly spoke up from the kitchen doorway.
It was Keifer.
He was walking slowly into the room with messy, uncombed morning hair, a loose t-shirt, and pure morning laziness still lingering in his dark eyes.
Before Jay could even react, Keifer walked right up behind her.
He slid his large, warm arms securely around Jay's waist, leaning his chest to her back and resting his chin comfortably on her shoulder,
forming a cozy little family train with his mother at the front.
"Keifer..." Jay whispered frantically, her face instantly turning a bright shade of pink as a warm blush crept up her cheeks.
Mrs. Watson just looked at the two of them over her shoulder and let out another loud, joyous chuckle, thoroughly enjoying how sweet and lively her kitchen was this morning.
Mrs. Watson shook her head, a wide smile on her face as she looked at them over her shoulder.
"Jay, I still can't believe you blush this much because of this monkey," she said, laughing a little.
As she spoke, Mom lifted her hand, caught a bit of the fresh cream from the counter on her fingertip, and turned slightly to gently tap it right onto the tip of Jay's nose.
Jay blinked in surprise, but before she could even reach up to wipe it off, Keifer leaned forward.
Without loosening his grip around her waist, he leaned right over her shoulder and kissed her nose, licking the cream right off the tip.
The sudden touch made Jay's heart completely flip a beat.
Her face exploded into a furious, burning red shade, the blush hitting her cheeks instantly.
Keifer let out a loud, hearty laugh against her neck, his chest vibrating against her back as he thoroughly enjoyed her cute, stunned reaction.
Completely overwhelmed and embarrassed, Jay didn't even break the train; instead, she just buried her face directly into Mom's back, tightening her arms around her mother-in-law's waist and letting out a frustrated groan.
"Mommm..."
Mrs. Watson just patted Jay's hands that were securely wrapped around her, laughing along with her son.
Her back shook against Jay's hidden face as they both teased the flustered girl, while Keifer kept his arms wrapped tight and cozy around Jay's waist, holding her close.
The three of them were still caught up in their fun, laughing and joking in their cozy kitchen train, when a sharp voice suddenly cut through the air.
"Wow! See, Dad? We are completely abandoned now."
Jay, Keifer, and Mom all turned their heads toward the kitchen doorway to see Sophia and Mr. Watson standing there, watching the whole scene.
Sophia was standing with her arms crossed tightly over her chest and one eyebrow raised high in mock offense.
Mr. Watson looked at his daughter, a sheepish, playful smile breaking across his face.
"Soph," he said softly, "I don't think I'm the one who's abandoned."
Before Sophia could even figure out what he meant by that, Mr. Watson walked right past her.
He smoothly slipped through the narrow gap near the kitchen counter and squeezed himself right into the very front of the line, wrapping his arms securely around Mrs. Watson's waist.
His sudden entrance made everyone else shift a big step back to make room, stretching out the line and instantly lengthening the family train.
Now, Mr. Watson was holding Mom, Jay was still holding Mom from behind, and Keifer was holding Jay.
"Alberto...!" Mom gasped, her cheeks turning a beautiful, bright shade of pink as she looked at her husband in pure shock.
(Yeah I just remembered, Mr Watson's name was Alberto, not Arthur, hihi nevermind ha!)
"What are you doing? Stop it, the kids are watching!"
Hearing his wife complain, Mr. Watson just chuckled warmly.
He leaned down and pressed a sweet, loving kiss directly onto her blushing forehead.
Mom's blush deepened even more, and she playfully swatted his chest, completely flustered by his sudden affection, while Keifer and Jay smiled at how cute they were.
Sophia watched her dad take over the front of the train with a look of pure, dramatic disbelief, throwing her hands up in the air.
"Dad? Seriously?" she complained, making the whole kitchen burst into laughter once again.
"Ugh! I'm not talking to anyone. Even my bestie abandoned me," Sophia complained dramatically, throwing a pointed look at Jay.
But instead of apologizing, everyone in the train just stared back at her, giving her a completely flat, boring look. Not a single person moved.
Sophia's jaw dropped in disbelief. "Seriously?!"
The moment she snapped, the whole family burst out laughing.
Breaking the train, they all extended their arms wide, opening up a giant space to welcome her into the group hug.
Sophia just crossed her arms tightly over her chest, letting out a loud huff and pouting like a stubborn child.
"Okay, if you don't want to come..." Mom said playfully, dropping her arms and turning back to the counter, followed immediately by Dad, Keifer, and Jay, who all pretended to ignore her again.
Sophia groaned loudly, stamping her foot.
"Mommmm!"
Without waiting another second, she ran forward and jumped right into the middle of them.
Everyone laughed warmly, instantly wrapping their arms tightly around her.
The long train completely collapsed as they all squeezed together, holding each other close in a sweet, happy family circle.

After all the laughter and chaos in the kitchen, everyone finally settled down around the dining table.
Mom brought over the special dish she had been making-a fresh, warm batch of Leche Flan.
The sweet, creamy custard smelled absolutely amazing, and she carefully served a slice to everyone at the table.
Once everyone had a plate in front of them, Mom looked across the table toward Dad, who just gave her a knowing nod and a warm smile.
Mom let out a soft sigh, mutter
"My servant..." under her breath with a tiny sulk,
but she couldn't help the happy smile that broke across her face immediately after.
She tapped her spoon gently against her glass. "Okay, everyone, I have an announcement."
All heads turned toward her, the table growing quiet.
"As you all know, you've all officially graduated from university, and you're already settled into your new careers,"
Mom began, her voice full of pride.
Then, her gaze turned incredibly soft as she looked at the girl sitting next to Keifer.
"Jay, anak?"
"Yes, Mom?" Jay asked, looking up from her sweet treat.
"Would you like to marry my monkey son now?"
The sudden, direct question caught Jay completely off guard.
Her eyes widened in pure shock, and a wave of heat rushed to her face, turning her cheeks a fiery, bright red. She instantly bit her lower lip, looking down at her lap, her heart pounding furiously against her ribs.
"Jay, it's completely up to you, whenever you want," Mom added gently, wanting her to feel absolutely no pressure.
"And not at all if you don't want to!" Sophia chipped in mischievously, just to see what would happen.
"Nooooooo!" Keifer shouted instantly, his loud, desperate protest echoing through the dining room and making the entire table burst into roaring laughter.
"Don't listen to anyone," Mom laughed, reaching across the table to hold Jay's hand warmly in hers.
"Do you want this, dear?"
Jay bit her lip even harder, trying her absolute best to control the massive smile tugging at her lips.
Feeling the warm blush crawling all the way up to her ears, she shyly but clearly nodded her head in a 'yes.'
Before anyone could even utter a single word of celebration-
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Sophia let out a piercing, glass-shattering scream.
She jumped completely out of her seat, practically throwing herself across the space to hug Jay tightly.
"I'm going to be the bridesmaid! Aaaaaaaa! I am so incredibly happy!"
The dining room erupted into pure joy as everyone started talking at once, eager to plan the big day.
After checking the calendar and discussing it together, they finally made a decision.
They decided they would get engaged next month on the very first Sunday, and the wedding would happen just two days later on Wednesday.
Amidst all the cheering, planning, and shouting, Jay shyly peeked up and glanced across at Keifer.
Of course, he was already staring right at her.
A proud, triumphant smirk was plastered all over his handsome face, his dark eyes shining with pure happiness.
Realizing she'd been caught, Jay's blush deepened, and she quickly looked away to hide her face.
Keifer just let out a low, deeply satisfied chuckle, thoroughly enjoying her cute reaction as he watched his beautiful future wife.
