Nobody actually attacked me. I thought I showed the Hunters and soldiers enough to attract their attention. That some of the greediest among them would consider robbing me. Alas, that didn't happen.
The reasoning eluded me considering that a few Hunters looked like they were about to drool at the sight of the Tier-2 Demon horn. Anyway, I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to be happy about that or if I should be sad.
Maybe they're going to attack me later.
Was I hoping for something like that to happen? I…wasn't quite sure. On one hand, I wanted their Essence and to add a few new forms to Shift. Updating the System and adding a new Source or Power wouldn't be all too bad either. Plus, getting rid of greedy assholes that were willing to attack someone just because they had been a 'little' fortunate would make the realm a better place.
Alas, none of that mattered.
