"Let's rest for tonight," Chen Ye said slowly. "Tomorrow, I'll find that kid Peter Parker. You can go fulfill your wish."
"Considering you can't fight right now, I'll call a partner of mine to ensure your safety," Chen Ye added, his eyes gleaming with a deep light as if searching for a trustworthy companion.
Doctor Octopus looked at Chen Ye with gratitude. He never expected anyone in this world would still care about an old man like him, and a warm current surged through his heart.
"Who is this person? Where is he?" Doctor Octopus asked, looking around but seeing no one.
"You'll see him soon," Chen Ye replied mysteriously.
Doctor Octopus watched as Chen Ye put his hands in his pockets and slowly began to speak.
His voice was deep and powerful, as if summoning some kind of power.
"To your right!" Then, a magic circle materialized to Chen Ye's right.
As Doctor Octopus watched, a figure emerged from the magic circle. It was a hero clad in a strange red suit, resembling Spider-Man, dual-wielding knives—a warrior clearly battle-hardened.
Just as Doctor Octopus was marveling at how reliable Chen Ye's companions were, the hero who had just stepped out of the magic circle suddenly shattered the solemn atmosphere.
With a smug grin, he declared to Chen Ye, "Cool, right, Chen Ye? This is how I make my entrance!" The guy Chen Ye had summoned immediately displayed his unique personality and charm.
But the next second, Deadpool became even more outrageous.
He asked Chen Ye with mock seriousness, "And why did you have to summon me anyway? I've been searching for my true love lately! Oh, I get it—I'm more important to you than Wanda! You missed me, didn't you!"
As he said this, he shook Chen Ye's shoulders, as if trying to confirm his inner thoughts.
Doctor Octopus, standing nearby, watched this scene unfold, wanting to speak but holding back.
He was filled with curiosity about this sudden hero,
He wasn't sure if this seemingly unreliable hero could truly protect him.
Chen Ye, speechless, brushed Deadpool's hand off his shoulder and introduced him to Doctor Octopus.
"Doctor Octopus, you can call this guy Deadpool. He's your bodyguard for tomorrow. Don't let his appearance fool you—no one will get past him to harm you."
This time, Deadpool noticed Doctor Octopus and gave him a thorough once-over, from head to toe.
Then, he puffed out his chest and declared, "That's right! I'll keep you safe. You're from a Parallel Universe, huh? Not as alien-looking as I thought! I was expecting something like a green-skinned, tentacled alien!"
Though his words were flippant, the seriousness and resolve in his eyes were undeniable.
Doctor Octopus looked at him, a strange sense of trust blooming in his heart. Perhaps this seemingly unreliable hero could truly protect him after all.
Unbothered by Doctor Octopus's reaction, Deadpool familiarly slung an arm around his shoulder and began prying into his past.
He wanted to know what stories this man from a parallel universe had experienced and why he had appeared here.
Doctor Octopus didn't resist. He began recounting his life story, a tapestry woven from pain and joy, setbacks and triumphs, creating a rich and vibrant life.
As the two conversed, Chen Ye quietly slipped out of the room.
He didn't want to disturb them, because he knew that in this moment, Deadpool was truly himself—a trustworthy partner and protector.
Moreover, Doctor Octopus needed to relax and open up in this atmosphere.
Summoning Deadpool had been the most correct choice for Chen Ye.
Standing at the end of the hallway, Chen Ye gazed at the night sky outside the window.
He knew that tomorrow would be a new day full of challenges and opportunities.
Meanwhile, Peter Parker woke up and stared at his reflection in the mirror, bewildered.
He realized his vision had been restored, and he no longer needed his thick black-rimmed glasses.
And he now had a six-pack.
He began striking various poses, admiring his new physique.
"Peter, are you okay? Any changes?" Aunt May asked from outside his door.
Peter nodded to himself and called back, "Yes, there's a huge difference!"
Hearing his response, Aunt May quickly reminded him, "Hurry up! You'll be late!"
Peter glanced at Mary in the window next door and gave a silly grin.
Looking at his transformed self, Peter felt he finally had the right to pursue her!
His eyes sparkled with determination, and his face radiated a confidence and anticipation he'd never felt before.
Then he rushed out to class.
Just as Peter was about to approach Mary to talk to her, he noticed she'd been picked up by a classmate with a car.
Peter punched the wall.
He stared in disbelief at the hole he'd punched in the wall, then at his hand.
Before he could even process whether it was his fault, Peter missed the school bus again.
The morning passed quickly. Peter hadn't paid attention to any of his classes, spending the time studying the strange changes in his body. Even Harry hadn't shown up for school that day.
In the cafeteria, Peter watched his goddess, Mary, walk past as he ate. Seemingly lost in her grief over her recent breakup, she didn't notice the puddle on the floor and slipped!
Peter reacted instantly, catching Mary and using his tray to prevent her lunch from falling.
"Wow, that was fast! Thank you!" Mary exclaimed, looking up at Peter in his arms.
Peter gazed at her, his heart swelling as her smile returned. "You're welcome."
Their eyes met, and Mary looked at him with admiration. "You have such beautiful blue eyes—I never noticed before when you were wearing glasses."
With that, she walked away.
Peter was left with a foolish grin, his heart soaring. It was the first time Mary had ever praised him—a perfect start!
As Peter savored his meal, he suddenly felt an unusual stickiness.
He looked down in shock to find his hand stuck to his fork. Even more unbelievable, fine, hair-like strands of web were shooting from his palm.
Peter's heart lurched. He frantically scanned the room, terrified of being seen and becoming the subject of ridicule.
He hastily set down his fork and stood up, his body tense.
He didn't dare linger for another moment, turning and bolting for the cafeteria exit. His heart pounded in his chest, threatening to leap out.
His mind raced with fear of the unknown, mingled with confusion and bewilderment about his newfound abilities.
Peter ran all the way out of school and ducked into a secluded alley. Leaning against the wall, he gasped for breath, struggling to calm his racing heart.
He stared at his hands, his mind filled with panic and disorientation.
He had no idea why he'd suddenly gained these powers, nor how to deal with them.
Just as Peter felt utterly helpless and lost, a voice suddenly whispered in his ear, "What's wrong? Scared by your new abilities?"
Peter whipped his head around, scanning the alley warily.
From the depths of the alley, a figure slowly emerged.
Seeing this figure, Peter's heart skipped a beat.
He couldn't believe his eyes—the figure was identical to the Kamen Rider he'd seen on TV.
The figure wore a black cape and the iconic blue and white mask.
Peter was so shocked he couldn't speak. Trembling, he pointed at the figure and stammered, "Y-you're Kamen Rider?" His voice was filled with awe and disbelief.
