Hidara: "We will stop at the park in front of us."
Neil: "Okay."
The motorcycles stopped at the large park gate. Hidara sighed in exhaustion as he wiped the sweat from his forehead: "I am really tired." Neil picked up the thread of the conversation as he got off his motorcycle: "Me too, I'll go get some juice so we can regain our strength."
Neil went off, while Hidara and Rin headed toward a wooden bench in a quiet corner. Hidara sat down.
(Rin looks down, sweat dripping from her: "What will we do now, Hidara?"). She looked at him with eyes full of apprehension: "I'm scared… a terrifying feeling is creeping into me that I will lose someone, and the pain has begun to pulse inside me. Hidara, I don't want to lose you, I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
Hidara whispered: "I'm scared too, and I never want to lose you. I want to protect you, and to see you happy always… I will do my best for you."
Neil returned carrying the bottles, and threw a juice bottle toward Hidara, who caught it.
Neil: "I have a feeling the commissioner will help us, you should rest for now."
Then he extended his hand with the other bottle to Rin.
Rin held the juice.
Hidara sighed, saying: "You're right, Neil, I wi—…"; he did not finish his sentence, as suddenly Rin collapsed to the ground unconscious, and the juice bottle fell, its liquid spilling onto the dirt.
"Rin! Rin! What happened to you? Wake up, Rin!" Hidara shouted, fear drawn on his face, then he turned to Neil in panic: "Neil, what happened to her? Tell me!"
Neil hurried to examine her: "Let me see… she lost consciousness because she lost a lot of blood."
Hidara's eyes froze at her knee, where there were critical wounds he had not noticed before: "Why? Why didn't you tell me?!"
He did not waste a second, he carried her in his arms and ran quickly toward the motorcycle, whispering: "Don't worry, Rin, I will take you to the hospital, you will be fine."
Neil followed him, running behind him to catch up with them.
In the hospital corridors:
Hidara burst through the hospital door while carrying Rin: "Help me!"
A nurse hurried to him and directed him toward the transport stretcher: "Put her here, son."
Hidara placed her down while trembling, while the nurse prevented him from entering the room behind her: "Wait here."
A doctor arrived.
"Doctor, help Rin please, save her!"
The doctor reassured him calmly: "Okay, wait here and we will do what is necessary."
Hidara sat on the cold seats in severe tension.
Neil placed his hand on Hidara's shoulder.
"Don't worry, she will be fine."
Tears shimmered in Hidara's eyes.
A nurse approached him, saying: "We must treat you and your friend too, you both have wounds and are bleeding from several places."
Hidara whispered: "Don't worry about me, Rin is what matters!"
The nurse: "There is a doctor and several nurses examining her now, don't worry, she will be fine, but you must take care of your wounds too."
Hidara: "But—"
Neil leaned down, placed his hands on Hidara's shoulder: "She will be fine,
believe me
then he grabbed Hidara's hand
"come on, Hidara."
Hidara stood up, his heart attached to Rin.
The nurse: "This way, follow me."
They walked behind the nurse, but Hidara's eyes remained fixed on that door through which Rin had entered.
In the police department:
In Commissioner Kamal's office, Assistant Salim entered carrying new reports:
"Sir Kamal, I searched as you ordered me… I concluded that the human organs belong to a child about sixteen years old, and I found many fingerprints, but they are not registered in our database."
Kamal sighed: "Then… what next?"
Salim extended his hand with a letter: "And I found this letter too."
Kamal opened the letter to read its shocking content:
"Better luck next time."
Kamal struck the table with his hand: "Haaa! I know who sent this letter… they are the kidnappers that Hidara and his companions were chasing. Why is he stupid like his father? Why doesn't he come and tell me everything?! I will go to him now."
Salim whispered: "But we do not know where they are, sir."
As he headed to the door, Kamal: "You will come with me and we will search for them… things will become crazier than before. If we do not move now, I will regret it for the rest of my life."
While Hidara was receiving first aid, a nurse approached him and asked:
"Are you Mr. Hidara?"
"Yes!"
She said with a smile: "Rin wants to see you, she has woken up."
His eyes widened with joy, and he ran toward her room.
He stopped at the door, took a deep breath while whispering: "Thank God… thank God," and tears streamed down his cheeks.
He entered the room to find her lying down, trying to sit up slowly.
She said in a weak voice: "Don't worry, I am fine and in the best condition."
He sat beside her, placed his hands on hers and said in a choked voice: "I'm really sorry, Rin… I'm sorry."
Rin extended her hand to wipe his tears, saying: "Thank you… thank you really, but don't worry, I lost consciousness because I forgot to eat my breakfast only."
He asked her: "And how is your wound? Why didn't you tell me about it?"
Rin stammered: "I… didn't want to worry you."
Neil entered, interrupting with a smile: "Thank God for your safety, Rin. And Hidara, don't pressure her now, let her rest."
The doctor entered at that moment and said: "You can leave now. Don't worry, the bleeding was not serious. She only lost some blood, but she is fine now."
"It seems that exhaustion and lack of food were the main cause of her losing consciousness."
"She needs rest and healthy food only. Take care of yourselves."
After the doctor left, Neil said: "Think now… how will you tell your families about these wounds?"
Hidara stammered: "I completely forgot about this! What will I tell them? My aunt Widad will worry a lot about us."
Neil said: "What do you think about telling them that we were in a minor accident?"
Hidara: "Okay, I don't want them to know anything about what we are doing."
Neil: "But you must tell Kamal everything… don't forget that."
Hidara looked at him: "You're right… you're right."
