I had burst awake, my form sitting up immediately trying to catch my breath. I was covered in cold sweat and my breathing was ragged, 'Was that my dad? What the hell was all that about?'
When I finally caught my breath, I could finally process my surroundings and found I was in my bedroom, in bed… with alittle company.
Velzard was sleeping next to me with her arms… and giant reptilian tail wrapped around me, 'Since when does she materialize her tail in her human form? Actually, since when does she ever materialize any of her dragon form and overlap it with her human form?'
Although, I had to admit, her tail combined with her human form had its own charm. At the base of the bed was Amanises in her wolf form sleeping.
Suddenly the door opened and in came the family doctor. Nyx made eye contact with me in surprise and then held her head down while walking closer to me with a tray in her hands, "M-morning."
Nyx's timid response surprised me. She took a seat next to my bed and poured herself a cup of tea and began silently watching me in a dignified and cold manner.
"So does that mean we're back to you not talking to me?" I teased Nyx… which in hindsight was a terrible idea.
Despite being a tease, that comment had made Nyx shake, her hand that was on her lap had formed a tight grip. Her face wasn't fully revealed due to her head being down but she was gritting her teeth in a very vicious manner, "How dare you say that? How could you say that?"
"Nyx, calm down, you don't have to… Nyx?" Before I could finish what I was gonna say, Nyx had lifted her head.
Nyx's face was marred with tears, she had initially looked like she was gonna rip me apart but now, she just looked so vulnerable and hurt. She was desperately trying to wipe the tears away, " How could you say that, I was so concerned about you!? Was I not a good enough daughter, is that why, I promise to better dad, please don't be mad at me!"
Hearing Nyx's pleas and hoping for my approval struck me in the heart, I began wiping her tears away myself, "Don't say that sweetie, you don't have to be better because I'm already so proud of you. Please don't cry."
"Is…is daddy really proud of me?" Nyx asked expectantly in such a childish manner.
I smiled as I stroked her head, "I will always be proud of you Nyx."
For that entire morning I spent comforting my fragile daughter's heart.

"So where is everyone right now? Don't tell me that their still waiting for me outside?" I asked while sipping on some tea.
The girl, who's face was bruised from crying, looked a bit conflicted about answering, "About that… the entire ordeal that happened… that was almost a week ago."
"PFFT!!!" I spat out my tea and began coughing violently. Nyx just smacked my back, "Are you serious?"
Nyx nodded, "Mhm, after you fell, we immediately brought you to my lab for a checkup. Kevin and Gehrman had escorted everyone out of Eden. Since then, you've just been laying here. Mom refused to leave your side."
Nyx saw as I looked at her with confusion, "Mom?"
Nyx's face went beet red, "Well, she is my mom… isn't she?"
I smiled at her with gentleness, "Yes she is… but judging by how you said that, does that mean that she hasn't left my side?"
"Yeah, she's basically been hibernating next to you. If you've wondered why she has a tail wrapping around you, we speculate that because of your connection, the more shes around you, the more of herself does she reveal." Nyx explained all in one breath.
Simon: "That's a… weird correlation."
" I have another theory as to what set this reaction off."
" Oh… speak your mind then."
" I believe it could also be either a stress or danger response to seeing her mate in a life or death situation. Her currently latching on to you is to make sure that you won't stay out of her sights." Nyx gave her hypothesis.
I looked down at the beautiful women who's tail had wrapped around me and who's pearl white horns were resting against the pillow, " I think it might be both."
" What makes you say that?"
I looked back at Nyx was a bright smile, " Let's just call it a hunch."
" What do you think about this Am." I said to the sleeping Amanises who heard my question and violently flinched. She opened one eye to peak at me and found I had a knowing smile on my face.
Nyx had lifted her head, " How long have you known?"
" The moment I woke up, I had found that your breathing was too eratic for someone who was asleep."

Velzard was stirred awake by movement felt through her tail. She groggily woke up to three individuals by the bed, the black haired girl with wolf ears at the base of the bed, the silver haired girl sitting on a chair next to the bed and the man who she had grabbed ahold of right next to her; all of them eating ice cream.
She looked at Simon and felt her entire body begin to weaken from all the stress in her body suddenly leaving. She tackled the man she had been waiting for for so long, collapsing into his arms, she was so weak at the moment but so happy.
"Zarry, are you ok?!"
"I'm… I'm so happy…you're awake." Velzard's body trembled against mine, her tail wrapped around me tighter.
Hearing her words filled me with evens more guilty, "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere."

Currently Rimuru was preparing for the festival while he had a guest on his couch, " You know, for someone who is apparently the most busy lord under Simon, you seem to be acting quite leisurely Gehrman."
"It's because I'm so busy that I'm acting so leisurely. I rarely get the chance to rela-" Gehrman started calmly explaining himself, when he suddenly looked off into the distance, as if he had suddenly gotten an epiphany.
A change that Rimuru noticed, "Is there something wrong?"
"It seems that Lord Simon had finally woken up."
