Gehrman was nervous, his master had informed him to return because I would be given power.
Now most men of faith would be ecstatic for a chance to receive power directly from their god.
Gehrman knew better when it came to Pneuma. The god he served was chaos incarnate, a vessel for apocalyptic proportions that could send the world into rupture.
And his experiments are nothing to scoof at. Biological monstrosities that would scar even True demon lords and technological advancements that were leagues ahead of civilization.
"Lord Gehrman, is there a problem?" Kael asked with concern. He noticed Gehrman's slightly panicked demeanor and couldn't fathom what had made him scared. Actually there is one thing… " Is it Pneuma?"
Gehrman nodded, "Pneuma wants me to come back to Eden. He says that he will give me godlike power."
Kael was confused by this, "Isn't that a good thing, yet you seem so afraid of this." Although Kael wasn't that expressive, that dismissive cover couldn't fully hide the emotions beneath and Kaels confusion shown through into a (●__●)
"You don't know what his majesty is like, I might not come back alive from this. If I don't come back, tell the others I love them."

" Hello everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful day!" Selene had burst through the door with vigor and excitement.
Selene and Gloria had come in with glowing expressions and looking refreshed, while Silas had came in looking dead as hell while carrying what could be estimated to be at least a dozen bags.
It doesn't take a genius to know what had happened.
"Did we miss something? What happened to him?" Gloria pointed to Gehrman who was curled up in his legs sitting to the wall crying. Their fearless and powerful leader was a complete cry baby.
Kael looked to the rest of them, giving them a helpless expression. His expression clearly said please help me.
The rest of the team already knew that there was only one thing that could cause such an emotional reaction.
So Kael had explained to them what was going on and they all were thrilled, the only one who wasn't was cowering in the corner.

"So you're about to go to Pneuma's domain to receive some sort of power?" Elmesia was listening to his reason for leave.
"Yes the place known as Eden. Apparently this power will elevate me to that of an awakened divine being."
Gehrman's words caused his team, Elmesia and her attendant to reveal visceral shock. What do you mean an awakened being.
"Your god is gonna make you into something akin to a true demon lord or true hero? Do you understand the magnitude of what you're saying?" Elmesia had a feeling in her heart that was growing, that feeling was fear. She felt that soon her kingdom was about to be out of her control.
"Don't berate my servant, it's not a good thing for an empress of your statue." A voice pierced through the veil of shock.
They all looked to the side and found a figure that they all met in person, a figure that was etched into their memory upon first meeting.
All except for the attendant, "Who are you!? You have no right to trespass in lady Elmesia's-"
The attendant found a scythe to her neck, " Do not dare speak to lord Pneuma in such a disrespectful fashion."
It was only upon his words did the attendant realize who he was and kept herself quiet.
Elmesia saw that Pneuma didn't care so she passed on this, "You saw you're gonna awaken him? How are you gonna do that exactly?"
"I'm gonna make Gehrman a true demon lord. I thought that would be obvious."
Gehrman had his own reservations on the matter, "Milord, apologies in advance for my disrespect, but what in the holy fuck have you been up to!?"
I smiled at his outrage, " What have I been up to? Well, nothing good. You don't have to worry, it's already been tested, it's completely harmless."
" You said there would be a price, what is that price?"
" I'll tell you when we get to Eden."
" O…k, well I'm ready to go. Is there something wrong?" Gehrman noticed his gaze on his team, eyeing them down one by one.
There was a silence for a second as his crew felt pressure under Pneuma's gaze, "Bring them along with us."
"Wait what! Is it necessary to do this for any reason?"
"It's not out of malicious intent. You're gonna ascend to godhood, I think it's fitting to have the ones closest to you as witnesses to this occasion."
The rest of them couldn't believe what they were hearing, Selene hummed in disbelief, " We're going… going to."
Silas finished the sentence for her in equal disbelief, " We're going to E…Eden?"

They couldn't believe what they were seeing, they thought that the structure of the Sarion dynasty of buildings surrounding a big tree was an architectural achievement but this was on a whole different level.
The floating space of the world or worlds created were interconnected by some fog, the same fog that Gehrman manifest when he wishes to return home.
This wasn't one nation but multiple, each one ruled by a commander or commanders.
When they entered the most impressive of the structures, that being the clocktower, they were informed that this is the home of their god.
When they got in, they saw a round table with 7 individuals already sitting there. The seats weren't equally sized and shaped considering Necrozma and Amanises's size and shape.
When they felt the power coming off of the table as a whole, they were in shock. A while back they had heard the words of both Gehrman and Pneuma that Gehrman was the weakest among all of Pneuma's lords.
They didn't believe it at first and still didn't believe it but now they knew for sure, their were only gods at these tables, and these gods only served another.
They watched as Pneuma walked to the farthest seat of the table, "Is there a reason that you're all here? I don't recall an assembly."
The bulky white haired man who's eyes were like sapphire sitting next to Pneuma's seat, "We heard from Nyx that Gehrman would begin his ascension. I believe it's fitting for all of us to witness this event."
"Nyx!"
"Sorry Dad but this does require an audience."
Wait dad, DAD! That girl is the Gods daughter, her magicule level is spiking to such a high degree.
