Chapter 50 - Velzards death

I walked out of the room empty handed. I wasn't going to make a sheath for it because frankly I didn't believe there was a sheath on earth that could contain it, and despite the safety controls, I wasn't about to just strut around with it. I figured the only fitting and worthy sheath was the imaginary space.

What I found outside my room was simply a wild Velzard sleeping in there natura- I mean sleeping on the couch. She seemed to have been awakened from my door opening.

" Oh Simon, you finally came out." Velzard says groggily while sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"Finally? Pfft! You make it sound like I've just woken from a god's eternal slumber."

Velzard looks at me with confusion and concern, "S-Simon, You've been in there for 8 months now. We had briefly thought you had died. Even Guy stopped by out of worry."

"Wait WHAT! How was I out for so long!? And why didn't you come check on me or get me out of my room."

"We did come check up on you, we came in everyday and you were so focused on something that you wouldn't lift your head up even if we attacked you, and I know because Amanises did just that."

"I… I'm sorry."

"It's fine, but what the hell were you working on there?"

"I was finally making myself my own specialized sword."

" Oh, can I see?" Velzard instantly became awake. Simon's talents in creation had always astounded her, it had become a hobby to always check up on what he was creating. Not to mention, this creation had come at the cost of 8 months of his time.

I pulled the sword out of the portal, " This… is Zelus."

Velzard looked at the item in astonishment, this right here was a work of art, metallic perfection. The structural design, the material of the blade and the power emanating from within, " I was hoping for at least a legend grade, but I have no other weapons to measure against."

" S-Simon, this is… this is a genesis-grade artifact." Velzard muttered in disbelief, she had seen his previous creations but this takes the cake. His previous creations were sophisticated but this feels like it had a piece of Simon in it.

"You know every time I get told something like that, it just boost my ego. At some point that ego is gonna be my downfall." I joked while keeping in my astonishment.

"You created something magnificent. Can I ask something unconventional? I want to have a dual with you."

"Really 80 years and now you want to have a dual… oh my god I'm 80 years old." I retorted back until I realized how fucking old I was.

Velzard giggled at my sudden mid life crisis… or long life crisis.

————————————————

Guy had felt a fluctuation in space and teleported to the location, he found himself on the training ground and saw his student and advisor on the battlefield, "You need something Guy?"

"No Hello Guy or How are you Guy? Are you guys really gonna dual it out."

"Shut up Guy and start us off already! I know you're also curious as hell to how this will go." I shouted at him to begin.

Guy just sighed, and started us off.

Velzard began by launching a full scale blizzard at me, trying to tear me apart with high-speed winds.

I stood there in the blizzard completely still. Both Velzard and Guy were confused by this, until Velzard was covered in a spatial prison, just like the one around Veldora, but this one seemed infinitely more powerful.

Velzard broke out with ease, but the lingering spatial energy immediately attached to her body like a leech and drained her of her magicules. Velzard instantly grew fearful and used True dragonhaki to remove the leeches and Leviathan to reabsorb her power.

Guy looked impressed form the side, 'Weaponizing infinity prison's magicules draining properties, you never cease to amaze me Simon.'

Simon teleported Infront of her and delivered a spiritron-filled karate chop, Velzard attempted to use both her Ultimate's to block it but only Gabriel seemed to work, and it wasn't very effective. With no further choice, she was forced to step back with what little time she had left.

The spiritrons smashed the ground and formed a mushroom cloud. From the blast come hundreds of light arrows that headed straight for Velzard, each one missed but created the same nuclear effect.

There was only one though raging in Guy's head, 'This is gonna cause another damn Walpurgis.' but something else had caught his eye, 'why isn't Simon using a sword?'

The battle raged on and Velzard was struggling to keep up, she was trying to weaken herself to test his current strength and now finally realising that was a big mistake.

She finally decided to use Gabriel and Leviathan constantly, yet Leviathan still proved effective.

Still with Gabriel, she believed she would easily attain the speed advantage. She began forming a large lance shaped glacials and punctured Simons body, yet it did nothing against his new defense, absolute guard.

Simon rushed up to her, she had though she would finally gain the speed advantage but something weird happened, she began to feel her energy be absorbed, her movements began to feel slow and stagnant. The very same thing she does to others. This feeling came to a horrifying realisation, Simon was using her Ultimate skills.

'Note to self, using an unique or ultimate skill from Skill storage uses 10× the expenditure than actually having the skill…which is honestly generous in my opinion.' I thought to myself about using Velzard's skills

Seeing Velzard's horrified face only brought a grin to his face. A grin that solidified her realisation.

"Tell me how you're doing that." Velzard had grown frustrated that Simon could just reproduce her skills at a whim.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

The teasing just pissed her off, "This isn't a JOOOOKKKKKEEE!" It seems I underestimated her anger. Her body was enveloped in light and the resulting distortion of space and time revealed the visage of a giant bluish-white dragon.

Around Velzard an array of snow crystals began forming, but instead of slowing down everything, they blasted towards Simon. Thousands upon thousands of crystals blasted into Simon, pushing him back and tearing him apart, "YOU'LL NEVER WIN THIS FIGHT UNLESS YOU TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY."

"Seriously? Is that what you want? Fine then as you wish." Simon's voice sent a chill down both Velzard's and Guy's spine.

Suddenly from within the hole that Velzard buried Simon blasted out a beam of light, soaring towards the massive draconic body. It's speed increasing rapidly despite Gabriel. Velzard released the full scope of fixation and performed a time stop.

She didn't hesitate for a second and few the little time that the time stop was up, she struck her claw on the stationary figure.

Guy appeared next her in the time stop, "Don't you think that was a bit overkill?"

"NEXT TIME HE SHOULD LEARN TO NOT USE A LADIES SKILLS AGAINST HER." Velzard was displeased but had let her emotions down, "PLUS, WITH OUR SOUL CORRIDOR, I CAN JUST BRING HIM BACK TO LIFE." Velzard released the time stop and watched the figure dissapate into nothing.

"I don't think that's how it works but ok." Guy decided to call the battle but was displeased with Velzard's impulsive performance, "fine then, Velzard is the wi-"

"Not yet Guy." They suddenly heard a familiar voice echo from an unknown space.

Velzard looked around but couldn't find anything. Until she felt a presence behind her.

But before she was able to to fully react, her massive body was struck with a force palm, reality shattered from the impact.

…And she was forced back into her human form, 'What…the hell?'

" Apologies Velzard, but I've seen your every move, beforehand. Time to end this."

Simon's form came into view from the sky in which a barriage of light spears rained down from the sky and striking and impaling her body and launching her to the ground.

Before she could hit the ground, Simon appeared, flying before her and snapped his fingers while saying two words, " Chaos blast."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

————————————————

Velzard was sulking in her chair from her beating. She refused to talk to both Guy and Simon.

"Wow, I thought she was the one who had to resurrect you, turns out it's the other way around." Guy teased.

"Velzard could've finished me, if it wasn't for her impulsiveness, and the fact I had already knew what she was going to do long beforehand."

"How did you manage to escape her time stop?"

"I didn't, I simply escaped her freezing breath. When I blasted towards her, I predicted the time stop."

Velzard roared from the side, "That doesn't explain how you managed to escape my time stop!"

" When I predicted the outcome, I created a parallel existence to replace me and jumped into a dimensional gap and traveled to a different spacetime gap. I was still affected by the time stop but there was no way for you to attack me."

Velzard realized that she had been played the fool, " So all you had to do was wait for the time stop to end and then you could just jump back. Then how did you do the rest?"

" You mean transforming you back to human, I used an ultimate skillto temporarily alter your existence. Not permanently but just enough time to finish you off for good by using that same ultimate skill and infusing it into that spiritron explosion."

" You're worse than Guy." Velzard snorted.

" Well I'm leaving, it was good to see you Guy." I kissed Velzard on the cheek and waved to Guy.

" Good to see you and congratulations on your awakening." Guy said before I teleported away.
