Poll time!
1.) Would you prefer Myles reviewing his Status Window during the chapter? (Or posted at the end of it?)
2.) Would you prefer the Status Windows receive updates under Volume 0 as Auxiliary chapters?
Let me know! I'm fine with either choice.
If #2 is chosen, then Myles reviewing his Status Windows will stop. At the time of adding this poll, I am currently writing Chapter 27.
Adding to that, if you don't want to wait here for chapters, you can read more on my Patre0n, /Aht666, free of charge!
Happy reading!

'Open Inventory', I thought to myself, before my Status Window opened and changed to the Inventory section.
Now this part Jarvis can't see, but once he sees me take out those loot boxes, he'll be in for a surprise.
The Inventory looks like it has remained the same since I last saw it. I'll do a quick rundown. The center of what it looks like is a miniature me, with my current clothes on. That part doesn't give any effects whatsoever. What surrounds it does.
A weapon slot, and a shield slot for both hands, respectively. I bet they can be interchangeable, as my dominant hand is my right hand. It's also possible I can forgo the shield slot in an attempt to dual-wield, so we'll see about that.
From there are the first two Accessory-type slots, the Rings. One for the left, and one for the right hand. After that are the left and right arm guards. Then it goes all the way until the shoulders with the left and right pauldrons, and the second Accessory-type, Earrings. One on each ear. To finish the Equipment Slots was the Helmet.
There actually isn't a section to put a chest piece or leggings on, like how you'd see it in other games. The number of Equipment Slots offsets that, I suppose. A lot of games just simplify the number of slots to around three to five, but I have a whopping eleven slots to work with!
I could even take a guess as to what the classification system is for my gear. You know, it's Ranks. Normally it'd have a name attached to what Rank it was, but it looks like it is categorizing them by color with this Gamer System. Easier on the eyes, and less hassle to deal with, so I like that.
Gray. Green. Blue. Purple. Orange, and lastly Rainbow.
If you want to put it in those terms, then Common, Uncommon, Rare, Heroic, Epic, and Legendary respectively. But like I said, this Gamer System isn't calling the Ranks by those names, so I don't have to worry about that. And to think I'd receive not one but two Purple-grade Equipment from clearing my first Instance Dungeon...
I couldn't help but grin. I get the chance to roll not one, but two weapon boxes. Bless you, RNG!
Plus I have two Accessory boxes at the Blue grade, and the Level 2 Pack. I haven't felt this giddy since I've earned my first ever platinum trophy on the PlayStation Network.
And if I remember correctly...
I simply reached my hand toward the many filled slots that occupied page one of my Inventory. My hand vanished into it. I went to the four slots that had the boxes. Plop! Plop! Plop!
Just like that, four loot boxes appeared.
They were equivalent to that of an ornate treasure chest, just like how you'd come across in any RPG. Then there was the Beginner Pack - Level 2. Unlike the treasure chests, this one appeared like a neatly-tied gift box, as if I was celebrating a birthday party.
I could tell the differences too. Two of the treasure boxes had a purple glow to them, with a sword icon on its center. The other two had a Ring icon, and an Earring icon respectively, and they were clad in blue. The Beginner Pack didn't have any color, so it could literally be anything.
"Tell me Jarvis, do you see what's currently on the master bed?", I asked.
I actually don't know if items from the Gamer System can be visible to another person. Do they have to be in the Party?
"It looks like you won this bet, Alex. I do not know where it was your hand wandered into, but if I had to guess, it is almost akin to a pocket-space dimension. From there, you pulled out five assorted boxes, to which I do not know the contents of. Is this some form of technology?", Jarvis asked.
So items from the Gamer System really can be seen by others. I wonder what are its conditions? Do I have to be nearby for items to appear? Or if I have my Party active, can people like Tony start seeing things as items? So many things to test out still...
[Ding! Soul Protection Skill has suddenly triggered.]
[Ding! You have successfully avoided detection!]
[Ding! You have gained a small understanding of the Gamer System.]
[Ding! Your INT has increased by 1.]
[Ding! Points Doubler has triggered.]
[Ding! Your INT has increased by 2.]
[Ding! Current INT: 24.]
[Ding! Your Party has been safeguarded by Soul Protection.]
This...might be more serious than I originally thought.
Did someone just attempt and poke their nose around where they shouldn't belong? I wouldn't be surprised if this was done by the Ancient One, since she's likely the closest god-like being near here, even though she's residing all the way in New York City.
This likely won't be the only instance either. Thank god I have Soul Protection. Looks like it applies to the entire Party too, which is amazing!
The Ancient One is known to peer into the future from time to time, so this doesn't come as a surprise to me. Instead, I was surprised by another sudden gain. My INT is already looking good. I can't wait to see how much MP I gain when I level up next.
Now that I know I can open these boxes without prying eyes, which one should I start with?
My eyes soon fell onto the Beginner Pack. This one is completely random, unlike the other four boxes, so let's go with this one. I just tapped it, and the Beginner's Pack - Level 2 just unraveled on its own. Shortly after, more Gamer Notifications arrived.
[Ding! You have met the requirements to open the Beginner Pack - Level 2.]
[Ding! You have opened Beginner's Pack - Level 2!]
[Ding! You have received 1 Large Health Potion (Green).]
[Ding! You have received 1 Large Mana Potion (Green).]

[Ding! Points Doubler has triggered.]
[Ding! Your Stats have increased by 6!]
[Ding! Hylian Shield (Green) x1 has been deposited into your Inventory.]
[Ding! The Title function has been added to your Status.]
[Ding! You have received Title - Money Grubber!]
[Ding! Your Status has been updated and is now ready to view.]
Ahh, the classic beginner's potions. Honestly, I don't mind that at all. To me, that's just more experience points. I have a feeling I'm going to be fighting a lot of Zombies once that next Instance Dungeon starts. But more importantly...
Titles are now here, so cool!
Pretty much what you do is put one on, and you gain its effects as long as you have it equipped. Titles don't have rarities either, so you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. I didn't hesitate to look at mine.
[Title: Money Grubber]
Effect: Obtained money +20%.
Jackpot. Quite literally.
If I were Nami from One Piece, my eyes would turn into dollar signs.
Twenty perfect might not look like much now, but if I work toward a goal that requires me to spend money...Let's take Azure Point, for example. According to the records Jarvis described, it cost a whole twenty-five million to construct. Twenty percent of that is five million, so yeah. It'll be a great deal later on.
I didn't hesitate and equipped it right away.
[Ding! You have equipped the Title, Money Grubber.]
[Ding! Your Status has been updated.]
[Ding! You will now obtain 20% more money!]
I don't think it has any restrictions either...If I happen to sell something, Money Grubber will work there too. A works-all kind of Title!
As much as I wanted to check my new Status, I went ahead and reviewed the new item I just got. Reaching into Inventory again, I pulled out a very, very familiar looking blue and silver-crested shield.
"It really is the Hylian Shield...", I murmured, looking at Link's trusty shield before me. And it only graded it Green? There is one thing that this confirms. It's going to dip into other games, and potentially other anime and manga.
I don't know if I like that.
"Say Jarvis, can you see the item before me now?", I asked.
"I am afraid not, Alex. The moment you opened that weird-looking gift box, it vanished into thin air. Nothing came out of it. It is quite remarkable.", Jarvis pointed out. And yet that alone made my eyes light up.
My Equipment cannot be seen by others. I know weapons can be visible, but I do recall Han Jihan's other pieces of equipment vanish from sight the moment it's equipped. Now that I can get behind. It doesn't matter how silly I'll look wearing equipment from other stories. It isn't for show.
Knowing that, I reviewed Hylian Shield's details and was left pleased. It isn't broken like it was as Link's partner in crime, but it is satisfactory for the time being.
[Hylian Shield]
Link's trusty shield.
Name: Hylian Shield
Rank: Green
+20% HP, +20 VIT, +10 DEX
Grants Field Skill: Hylian Guard.
[Hylian Guard]
The hero once renowned throughout all of Hyrule before and after the Upheaval now offers you his protection.
Name: Hylian Guard
Type: Field Skill
Rank: E
Proficiency: N/A
Range: Self
Special Effect 1: Reduces damage taken by 10%.
Special Effect 2: Low chance to parry one attack.
Woah. Just a single Green-grade equipment gives this much!? It's a full-blown defensive-type piece of equipment too. A bit of a shame that the VIT and DEX stat boosts are flat, but it is what it is. But that got me thinking...
I had another take at Points Doubler. It isn't going to do what I think it's going to do, will it?
The Gamer System pointed out a change in stats is not considered an increase, such is an instance with Lofty Genius. But putting equipment on isn't considered a change. It's a straight-up increase...
Without hesitation, I grabbed the Hylian Shield, and placed it on my non-dominant hand. That is, my left hand. Sure enough, it vanished, and the Gamer Notifications came through one after another.
[Ding! You have equipped Hylian Shield in your Shield slot.]
[Ding! You now have 1 of 11 Equipment Slots equipped.]
[Ding! Equipping Equipment counts as an increase, and not a change.]
[Ding! Points Doubler effect will be removed once Equipment is removed.]
[Ding! Your Stats have increased!]
[Ding! Points Doubler has triggered.]
[Ding! Your HP has increased by 40%.]
[Ding! Your VIT has increased by 40.]
[Ding! Your DEX has increased by 20.]
[Ding! Your Status has been updated and is ready to view.]
Holy sweet Jesus...
Now I know why Points Doubler is SSS Rank!
It's time to check my new improvements.

A/N: I think going forward, I will do a vertical view for the Status Window. It makes it less cluttered.
I think I see what it is doing. Points Doubler triggers, then it displays the new temporary increase. My VIT is presently 49, but if I remove my Hylian Shield, it will go back down to 9. So that means I just can't ignore my base stats. I have to continue working on them. Not bad.
My eyes flickered with greed. If I look this good now, what would happen if I open a Purple-grade weapon box?
I immediately went for it, and didn't hesitate.
"Come to papa...", I murmured. I'm not crazy alright? I'm just really excited!
[Ding! You have opened 1 Weapon Box (Purple).]
[Ding! You have received 1 Nameless Zanpakuto (Purple).]
A beautiful, hand-crafted, sheathed blade appeared on the master bed before me. It was similar to that of a tachi. It wasn't as big as what a katana would be.
"..."
You're kidding me. The WEAPON from Bleach!?
