My heart was racing so fast that I could feel the pulse thumping in my neck. I tried to take a deep breath, but my lungs felt tight, as if they were refusing to let the air in. My whole body was shaking uncontrollably as I stared at the man standing in front of me. I simply could not believe that I was mixed up in all of this werewolf mess. It felt like a bad dream that I couldn't wake up from. One minute, I was just a normal girl walking home after a long day. The next minute, I was being carried through the night like a sack of potatoes by a guy who moved faster than any human being should ever be able to move. My brain was spinning as I tried to make sense of the blur of the last few hours.
"Hey, please relax. I am here to help you," he said.
