Chapter 247 - Chapter 247: Experiment Success, Psychological Pressure?

Waiting until all the Young Wizards had arrived and finished their lunch, Amanda finally stood up and returned to the Dormitory with Hermione and the others.

As soon as they entered the Dormitory, Amanda nodded at Hermione and the two seniors, her face devoid of any expression. "I'm going to conduct the experiment, and I'll strive to confirm the effects of the Breaking Curse as soon as possible."

"Alright, remember to be careful." Hermione nodded, wrapped her arms around Amanda's waist, kissed her, and urged her.

Regardless of anything else, Amanda was using Fenrir Greyback for the experiment, so she definitely had to be careful.

"Rest assured." Amanda nodded solemnly, drew her wand with her right hand, and gave a light wave, causing a fissure to appear beside her.

Walking into the fissure, Amanda passed through the path of knowledge into Ravenclaw Castle and headed straight for the dungeon.

Looking at Fenrir sitting in one of the dungeon cells, Amanda's eyes flickered. Without even raising her hand, the cell door was already opened.

Fenrir looked up, and the moment he saw Amanda, anger, resentment, and tyranny instantly filled his eyes.

"What do you have to be angry about?" Amanda's voice was incomparably calm and flat.

"Compared to the children and families you have harmed in the past, this shouldn't count for anything."

Amanda faced Fenrir's glare calmly. In any case, he could only look at her; in this cell, Fenrir couldn't even lift an arm.

"You captured me, so what?" Fenrir narrowed his eyes, his voice raspy and unpleasant.

"My master, Voldemort, will kill you and kill everyone who supports you."

"My kind, we Werewolves will infect more people, and more people in the Wizarding World will become Werewolves just like us!"

"They will also have to live through those days of darkness, hahahaha..."

Amanda listened to Fenrir's words casually, reached out to take out the video recorder she had prepared in advance, and prepared to record the upcoming scene.

This way, if her Breaking Curse truly succeeded, she would have irrefutable evidence. This was mainly to prevent the Ministry of Magic from doing anything disgusting again, such as stubbornly refusing to admit that this Breaking Curse was useful.

In other aspects, Amanda didn't mind dealing with the Ministry of Magic to prepare for Hermione to take over smoothly, legitimately, and with everyone's expectations.

But this matter concerned the lives of the Werewolf Wizards and Blood Curse Beastman in the Wizarding World, and Amanda did not want to deal with the Ministry of Magic over this.

A Breaking Curse that saves lives is for saving lives; apart from saving lives, it should not be used for any other purpose.

Life is the heaviest thing; this is what Hermione and the others taught her. Life is the heaviest thing and cannot be placed on a scale for comparison.

The same applies to any Charms or anything else that saves lives.

Drawing her wand, Amanda raised her hand expressionlessly, the tip of the wand pointing directly at Fenrir Greyback.

"First, your master, Voldemort, is not my opponent. According to my calculations, if there are no Horcruxes, it will only take me ten seconds to kill him."

This is even while being cautious about herself, killing Voldemort without any injuries. If she didn't care about herself and allowed for injuries, she could kill Voldemort even faster.

"Secondly, I specifically took away Professor Lupin to ensure that the Werewolf Wizards in your Werewolf Settlement would not be influenced by persuasion."

"Those who want to support Voldemort, go ahead and support Voldemort as much as you can."

"After Voldemort dies, all the Werewolf Wizards who supported him will definitely die, which will, to a certain extent, ensure the stability of the Wizarding World."

Fenrir suddenly looked up upon hearing this, and immediately met Amanda's icy, cold eyes.

That was not the coldness of human emotion, but a kind of coldness that came from the heart, without even a hint of emotional color.

This coldness was filled with deep indifference, as if the Fenrir that Amanda was looking at now was not a living being, but an inorganic object, a speck of dust completely devoid of life.

And the Werewolf Wizards who would support Voldemort later would be just like him.

"Also, I seem to have forgotten to tell you one thing," Amanda said while waving her wand, "I captured you because I have already found the Breaking Curse for Lycanthropy Toxin, and I want to use you to perform an experiment with the Breaking Curse."

"In the future Wizarding World, there will no longer be any Werewolves."

As Amanda's words fell, a string of obscure and difficult Ancient Runes spilled from her mouth. A yellow light emerged from the tip of her wand and enveloped Fenrir.

"No! No!! I don't want to change back! I cannot change back!"

He had long since started enjoying the feeling of being a Werewolf, at a time when many Wizards were still afraid of becoming Werewolves, and many Werewolf Wizards were still suffering from having become Werewolves.

Fenrir had long since started enjoying this identity of his. He enjoyed the fear the Wizards had for him, he enjoyed the children's crying, and he enjoyed a child's originally bright future becoming dark because of him.

He would even choose to go out and attack children and eat raw meat when he wasn't a Werewolf, that is, on nights that weren't full moons.

These were all things he immensely enjoyed. Yet now, Amanda was actually saying she wanted him to lose his identity as a Werewolf Wizard. How could he accept this? How could he possibly accept this?

"Your thoughts have nothing to do with me."

Amanda's wand tip lifted slightly, and Fenrir let out a painful howl. His body's compatibility with the Lycanthropy Toxin was too high; now, removing the Lycanthropy Toxin was tantamount to forcibly ripping a part of his body out, so it was bound to be excruciatingly painful.

However, by comparison, the other Werewolf Wizards that Amanda intended to save would not experience this, because most of them rejected becoming Werewolves, and therefore their bodies would instinctively resist the Lycanthropy Toxin.

Their bodies were, of course, not enough to resist the Lycanthropy Toxin or even overcome it, otherwise they wouldn't have become Werewolf Wizards.

But with this instinctive resistance present, their bodies would not actively fuse with the Lycanthropy Toxin. Since they wouldn't actively fuse with the Lycanthropy Toxin, they wouldn't be in such pain when the Lycanthropy Toxin was removed.

"Ah!!!"

Amidst Fenrir's loud roars, Amanda clearly saw the Werewolf features on his body slowly fading. First, the wolf-like appearance vaguely emerging on his face was constantly transforming back into a human, and secondly, his fangs were also returning to the appearance of an ordinary human.

Holding the wand steadily to maintain the output of magic, until the yellow light on Fenrir completely disappeared, Amanda understood that this was the sign that all the Lycanthropy Toxin in his body had been removed.

Waving her wand again, she used a detection Charms on Fenrir. The result of the detection Charms showed that he was no longer a Werewolf, and there was no more Lycanthropy Toxin in his body.

Nodding with satisfaction, Amanda looked coldly at the almost exhausted Fenrir as he raised his head and looked at her powerlessly. "My Breaking Curse has succeeded."

"Mr. Greyback, thank you for your cooperation. I hope you will be a good person in your next life."

After saying this, Amanda's eyes flickered slightly, and golden flames suddenly ignited on Fenrir's body. The scorching flames burned his body, and Fenrir even felt that his soul was being burned.

"Ah! You... Master will kill you all! He definitely will!"

Fenrir's last cry fell, and amidst the golden firelight, only a pile of ashes remained where he had originally been.

"Scourgify."

Lightly waving her wand to make the ashes disappear, Amanda shook her head without the slightest fluctuation in her heart. "Voldemort will also die just like you."

Flashing out from the spatial fissure, Hermione, Cho Chang, and Marietta Eckmore, who were sitting on their respective beds reading, were all stunned to see her return so quickly.

Hermione turned her head to look at Amanda. Sensing something, she frowned, got out of bed barefoot, walked up, raised her hand to gently press on Amanda's brow, and slowly began to massage it.

Tilting her head and looking at Hermione in confusion, the chilling, murderous aura and the cold, killing intent between Amanda's brows slowly dissipated, and her usual calmness and gentleness returned to her.

Hermione withdrew her hand, already understanding in her heart what Amanda had done besides the experiment just now.

With such a strong, murderous aura and killing intent, what else could her Amanda have done just now?

Smiling gently, Hermione wrapped her arms around Amanda's waist as if she knew nothing, and leaned in to kiss her cheek.

"Did it succeed?"

"It succeeded." Amanda nodded affirmatively.

"That's great." Hermione gave a thumbs up, and Amanda smiled at her with her eyes curved.

Exchanging a glance, Cho Chang and Marietta Eckmore also noticed something wrong from Hermione's reaction and Amanda's state just now.

The two walked up together, placed their hands on Amanda's shoulders from left and right, and pushed her towards the bathroom.

"Go take a shower, take a shower, and then take an afternoon nap."

"That's right, experimenting with the Breaking Curse must be very tiring, you must get some good rest."

I'm actually not tired... Amanda ultimately didn't manage to say this sentence before being pushed into the bathroom by Cho Chang and Marietta Eckmore together.

Hermione watched from behind with a smile. Until Amanda entered the bathroom and the three girls heard the sound of water, they began to discuss among themselves.

"Hermione, did Amanda... Greyback?" Marietta Eckmore said while making a throat-slitting gesture.

"It should be." Hermione nodded affirmatively. The Breaking Curse experiment was over, and the Lycanthropy Toxin in Fenrir Greyback's body had been removed.

In such a situation, Hermione didn't think there was any need for him to be alive; on the contrary, his being alive might be a threat that needed constant attention. And presumably, Amanda thought the same, so what Amanda would do was obvious.

"I hope she wasn't scared." Hermione glanced at the bathroom door with some concern.

After all, this was Amanda's first time doing this kind of thing. What if she was left with some psychological trauma... or if it wasn't that serious, what if she had a few nightmares?

Cho Chang also pursed her lips, looking at the bathroom door with some nervousness, listening to the sound of water inside.

"Yeah, she could have completely left this kind of thing to us seniors."

Marietta Eckmore nodded in agreement beside her. At this moment, all three girls were worried about whether Amanda would be traumatized by this.

However, the fact was that not only was Amanda not traumatized, but on the contrary, her heart was actually incomparably calm.

Killing Fenrir Greyback was like doing an inconsequential thing to her, eliminating a potential danger that should have been eliminated; why would she have any emotional fluctuations?

After finishing her shower and drying her hair, Amanda walked out of the bathroom, and the towel in her hand was taken by Hermione.

Helping Amanda dry her hair, Hermione and the other two followed closely beside her, watching her lie down on the bed.

Amanda lay on the bed and blinked. She had now deduced what they were thinking from the expressions of Hermione, Senior Cho Chang, and Senior Marietta.

"I don't have any feelings of discomfort or fear in my heart."

Resting on the soft pillow and telling the truth, Amanda's eyes looked steadily at the three girls by the bed.

"Fenrir Greyback is someone who truly deserves to die; I have no psychological burden for killing him."

Besides, if she were so weak and couldn't even get past this hurdle, how could she have said before that she would become the sharp knife in Hermione's hand?

To become the sharp knife in Hermione's hand, the first thing Amanda had to be prepared for was to always clear away the dark side for Hermione.

"Alright, let's not talk about this," Hermione lowered her head and kissed Amanda's lips. "Sleep well for a while, just to put our minds at ease, okay?"

Amanda was being kissed by Hermione, and she responded with an unclear sound, "Mmm..."

Smiling with satisfaction, Hermione raised her head and pulled the quilt up for Amanda.

Watching Amanda close her eyes, she, Cho Chang, and Marietta Eckmore sat quietly by the bed, listening to Amanda's breathing gradually steady and eventually become deep and long, clearly having entered dreamland.

Reaching out to tuck Amanda's hair behind her ear, looking at her calm face, and making sure she wasn't having nightmares, Hermione let out a slow sigh of relief.

"That's good, it looks like Amanda really didn't develop any psychological pressure because of this matter." Cho Chang lowered her voice.

"Yeah," Marietta Eckmore looked at her junior sister affectionately, "Fortunately not, otherwise Greyback's sins would be huge."

Causing their cutest and best junior sister to have psychological pressure—in that case, even though Fenrir was already dead, he would have carried a huge sin.

I don't know if it was because she was really tired from experimenting with the Breaking Curse, but Amanda actually slept for an entire afternoon. In her dream, she felt herself surrounded by several beautiful clouds.

A strong sense of security prompted her to sleep, to keep sleeping, until evening arrived and it was close to dinner time, when she slowly opened her eyes.

Opening her still somewhat hazy eyes, Amanda saw Hermione sitting by her bed reading a book at a glance.

"You're awake." Seeing Amanda wake up from the corner of her eye, Hermione closed the book, put it down, and handed her a glass of water. "How did you sleep?"

"Very well, I slept very soundly." Amanda took a sip of water and nodded.

Cho Chang and Marietta Eckmore, who were sitting on the other side, couldn't help but cover their mouths and giggle. Of course she slept soundly; they had all heard their junior sister's cute little snoring.

"That's good." Hermione dotingly ruffled Amanda's hair. "Go change your clothes, it's time to go for dinner."

After saying this, she, Cho Chang, and Marietta Eckmore all stood up, pulled the bed curtains, and left the space for Amanda.
