The moment that ball of golden-red lightning escaped Lynn's palm, its trajectory was already set.

The next second—

BOOM!!!!!!!!!

In an instant, everything in view faded into black and white, only to be completely swallowed by the overloaded golden-red light, leaving nothing.

Below, the Patchwork Monster's head snapped back, its giant mouth filled with sharp teeth opening wide like the source of all filth—

Whoosh—!!!

A mist of blood gushed from its throat like a bursting flood, emitting a pungent stench of corpses and rust.

The blood mist was not aimless; it swirled and compressed rapidly in front of it, instantly constructing a massive and seemingly thick Blood-Crystal Barrier.

The barrier expanded rapidly, attempting to completely shield its massive, deformed body within.

"It's quite a bit... more solid than those shields of Lennus's Blood Puppets," Lynn commented.

But this slight improvement was meaningless in the face of power that had undergone a qualitative transformation.

The lightning made contact with the Blood-Crystal Barrier.

There was no violent collision, no stalemate of opposing energies.

Like the sharpest blade slicing through rotten paper, or scorching sunlight shining through murky ice—

Sizzle—!

With a soft sound, the center of the thick Barrier was pierced through. The edges didn't even have time to collapse or melt before being directly vaporized by the following thunder and fire, leaving behind only a circular hole emitting green smoke.

The flowing light passed through the barrier without hindrance, ignoring the Patchwork Monster's final attempt to deflect its head, and slammed ruthlessly into its skull.

Boom!

"Awoo—!!!!!!!"

Its howl was filled with disbelief.

Lynn's attack not only completely pierced its skull, but also instantly swept through its twisted body—which had been forcibly stitched together from countless fragments—from the inside out!

Before that terrifying energy, the Troll muscles, Werewolf fur, Dragon scales, Goblin bones, and everything else composing its body lost all meaning.

Decomposition, carbonization, ionization, and finally reduction into particles!

Under the bombardment that lasted less than two and a half seconds, its massive body disintegrated inch by inch, starting from the head and spreading through the trunk, limbs, and wings... until it completely turned into black dust drifting through the air.

With a single strike, it was reduced to ashes.

However—

Gurgle... Gurgle...

At the very spot where the monster's form had dissipated, the sandy ground below suddenly churned eerily, as if countless springs were erupting simultaneously!

Blood, even thicker than before, bled frantically from every crack in the sand.

In the blink of an eye, a terrifying blood pool over ten meters wide, bubbling and churning endlessly, appeared beneath Lynn. The pool seemed bottomless.

At the same time, the blood rose and took shape as though it possessed life—

Bones, muscles, skin, scales, wings... the Patchwork Monster that had just been completely vaporized was actually re-forming at a speed visible to the naked eye above the blood pool.

Within a few breaths, a Patchwork Monster almost identical to the previous one appeared before Lynn once more.

Its pair of blood-red eyes stared fixedly at Lynn, filled with the confidence of having nothing to fear.

"Human... do you see? In this place, I am immortal! Give up your senseless resistance, offer up your flesh and soul, and become my most perfect sacrifice! This is your honor!"

As soon as it finished speaking—

Crack! Snap! Rumble—!

Centered on the blood pool, the ground for hundreds of meters around suddenly collapsed downward.

Giant cracks spread like spiderwebs, bottomless, and what gushed out from beneath them was no longer yellow sand, but endless blood.

In an instant, a vast blood pool, nearly boundless, replaced the original sandy ground, occupying most of the secret realm.

White bones floated across the surface of the blood pool, emitting a suffocating aura of bloodlust and despair.

The Patchwork Monster did not hesitate for even a moment. Its body leaned back and sank into the bottomless sea of blood with a splash, leaving only its head and part of its torso floating above the surface, as though merging with the pool itself.

"In this pool of blood, I draw upon a millennium of accumulated life and hatred! I am invincible!"

Its voice rang out from every bubble in the blood pool, overlapping and deafening. "Your strength will eventually run dry, while I am eternal and immortal! Obediently become a part of me!"

As it spoke, the boundless blood rose from the pool like a tsunami, spreading frantically in all directions.

Wherever the blood mist passed, light was completely swallowed, and the entire secret realm was rapidly shrouded by this despairing tide of blood.

Lynn hovered in the air as he was gradually swallowed by the blood mist. The a shield of golden light surrounding him seemed somewhat lonely against the thick blood-colored backdrop.

However, the expression on his face did not change at all; it remained as cold as ice. His golden vertical pupils calmly watched the Patchwork Monster's arrogant declaration from the blood pool below and the endlessly spreading blood mist.

Only someone observing closely would notice that the fiery-red mark between his brows was flashing at an almost frantic frequency.

Every flash seemed to accumulate some kind of energy. Golden patterns, like flowing lava, even began to faintly spread across the skin around the mark.

The blood mist spread further, while the Patchwork Monster's ceaseless voice echoed through the space:

"Give up... merge into this eternal sea of blood... your flames will eventually be extinguished, while my darkness lasts forever... I will make good use of your body, your power, to forge my perfect—"

"Three."

A clear voice carrying a hint of indifference suddenly interrupted its words.

"What?" The Patchwork Monster froze, confusion flashing across its eyes. What was this human counting?

"Two."

The second count followed immediately.

This time, the Patchwork Monster finally sensed that something was wrong!

"Space has been locked?! Since when?!"

The monster was both shocked and furious. It tried to struggle, only to discover that its connection to the blood pool had also become exceptionally sluggish, as though separated by a thick membrane, preventing its escape methods from functioning.

"One."

The final count fell, giving the monster no time to think or react.

Lynn looked down at the blood pool, a wild smile spreading across the corners of his mouth.

Crack! Crackle—!

A tooth-aching sound of shattering came from inside Lynn's body.

The protective shield surrounding him shattered first, turning into countless points of light. Then his skin, muscles, bones... his entire body, like a piece of exquisite colored glass, began to split with countless fine cracks.

What radiated from those cracks was not flesh and blood, but a terrifying blazing white light impossible to look at directly.

A scorching heat erupted violently from Lynn's center!

The space around him began to warp and collapse. Light itself was swallowed, forming a brief sphere of absolute darkness, with only the blazing white light from Lynn's breaking body serving as the sole illumination.

Lynn glanced one final time at the Patchwork Monster struggling futilely within the spatial lock and softly uttered a few words:

"Art... is an explosion."

——————————

No sound could describe the eruption of that moment.

The first thing to arrive was the light.

Light that swallowed everything exploded from the center of Lynn's crumbling body, instantly filling the entire space and even overflowing beyond it, illuminating every corner of the secret realm!

Within that light, the blood mist, the blood pool, the bricks, and even space itself lost all color and form, turning into a field of absolute white.

Next came the heat and the shockwave.

Within that white world, the blood pool was instantly vaporized! That self-proclaimed invincible Patchwork Monster didn't even manage to release a final scream before being completely annihilated on a physical level by the extreme energy, as though it had never existed at all!

The white light and destructive shockwave lasted for what felt like an eternity, yet also only an instant.

And when the white glow that swallowed everything finally began to recede...

There was nothing left at the center of the explosion.

No Lynn, no monster, no blood pool, not even the ground itself.

It was as though everything had ended.

However, at the center of the explosion a tiny and faint flame quietly ignited in the void.
