Chapter 122 - The Summit Ends?! Uchiha Feng Shakes the Ninja World

Minato's words made Ōnoki even less daring to act rashly. He could only shoot Ning Feng a cold glance before sullenly withdrawing his gaze.

Very quickly, the entire conference hall fell into a long, prolonged silence.

After quite some time, Mifune and the others finally stepped in to smooth things over.

With Namikaze Minato's proposal—backed by the agreement of the Mizukage, Kazekage, and others—it was swiftly passed.

After a round of polite formalities, Amegakure was officially recognized as the Sixth Great Ninja Village, and Uchiha Feng was acknowledged as the Third Rain Shadow. From this day forward, any shinobi who met him would have to treat him with the respect due to a Kage.

Don't underestimate this seemingly small difference…

If Ning Feng's status had not been recognized, then only the shinobi of Amegakure would address him as the Third Rain Shadow. But now that it had been officially acknowledged, all shinobi of the ninja world would have to respectfully address him as such.

This was an honor that not even the so-called "Demigod," Hanzō of the Salamander, had ever enjoyed.

Of course, more important than that was the fact that Amegakure now possessed a true golden signboard of its own, allowing it to openly recruit talent.

For all the shinobi of Amegakure, this was an enormous affirmation.

After that, the summit had little of real substance left—nothing more than talk of ninja world peace and minor grievances between villages.

As for the Four-Tails, Ōnoki naturally failed to reclaim it from Ning Feng. Not long after the meeting began, Ōnoki left first with his two guards.

Even as he departed, his expression was terrible—about as bad as it could possibly be—clearly reflecting his foul mood.

On Kumogakure's side, the mood was equally grim, especially for the Fourth Raikage, A, who looked as if he wanted to devour Ning Feng alive.

With both Iwagakure and Kumogakure leaving on such bad terms, the summit quickly came to an end.

As for the remaining minor village "Kage," they were little more than bystanders from beginning to end, with no one paying them any attention at all.

Soon, after exchanging polite farewells, the conference hall was left with only Namikaze Minato and Uchiha Feng's group.

Mifune, having sensed the situation, wisely chose to excuse himself, leaving the space to the teacher and his disciple.

"Feng, you've managed Amegakure very well,"

Minato was the first to break the silence, smiling warmly.

"I've heard that in just one week, the number of shinobi in Amegakure doubled. And now that you've obtained the Four-Tails, Amegakure's scale will likely surpass Iwagakure before long."

As his teacher, Minato was genuinely happy for Ning Feng.

Feeling Minato's concern, Ning Feng scratched his head in slight embarrassment.

"If it weren't for Teacher Minato firmly pushing this through despite all objections, Amegakure wouldn't have been able to successfully become the Sixth Great Ninja Village."

"Without this signboard, our development speed would've been severely hindered. After all, most shinobi want to pledge allegiance to a major ninja village."

Minato nodded heavily at this.

Many shinobi naturally gravitated toward greater heights—that was precisely why he had forced the issue.

"Feng, work hard. Once you've managed Amegakure well, I'll feel comfortable handing Konoha over to you as well."

When he said this, Minato looked deeply at Uchiha Feng.

For some reason, even though they hadn't been apart for long, Minato found himself deeply concerned about his student—about his safety, and about everything related to him.

"Mm. Don't worry."

Ning Feng nodded lightly, his eyes blazing with determination.

He knew very well that everything Minato had done was for his sake.

At the side, Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui listened to this exchange between teacher and student with undisguised envy.

Especially Itachi, who spoke with a hint of bitterness:

"Sigh… I, Itachi, am also a peerless genius of the Uchiha clan, yet I never received treatment like Little Brother Feng. Could this be the benefit of clinging to the right thigh?"

"Tch—Itachi, no matter how talented you are, can you compare to Brother Shisui?"

Shisui chimed in.

"Look at this—our little brother is already the Third Rain Shadow, and the Fifth Hokage of Konoha isn't far off either. Meanwhile, the two of us are still just small-time ANBU members…"

"Truly, comparing people is enough to drive one mad!"

By the end, Shisui even shrugged and made a goofy face, making everyone present burst into laughter.

Watching his two brothers like this, Ning Feng's gaze flickered slightly.

He couldn't help but feel that, without realizing it, he might have changed their personalities as well.

In the original story, the two of them had displayed a maturity and depth far beyond their peers at a very early age.

But then again, this wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Ning Feng would much rather see his two brothers live on innocently and purely, instead of being forced—like in the original story—to confront the filth of the upper echelons.

Unknowingly, Ning Feng chatted with his teacher Namikaze Minato for a long time, recounting everything that had happened after his departure.

When Minato heard that Iwagakure had once again attempted to assassinate his student, he was so angry that he nearly smashed the table to pieces.

But when he heard that Ning Feng had not only survived, but had even claimed the Four-Tails for himself—

Minato broke into a broad smile, even giving Ning Feng a thumbs-up in praise, clearly approving of his actions.

And so, Ning Feng and his teacher talked late into the night.

Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui occasionally chimed in, and the group passed an exceptionally pleasant evening together.

Another morning arrived.

As the morning light quietly bathed Ning Feng, he slowly rose—only to discover that his teacher, Namikaze Minato, was already waiting outside.

"Teacher Minato!?"

Ning Feng paused, sensing that Minato had something to say.

Minato fell silent for a moment, then looked deeply at Ning Feng before speaking calmly:

"As your teacher, I recall that I've only taught you techniques like the Rasengan and the Flying Thunder God."

"I haven't taught you many other techniques—most of your ninjutsu, you learned on your own."

"Now that you've become the Third Rain Shadow, you're bound to offend many powerful figures…"

"And judging by your current state, it's time for you to learn even more profound techniques."

"This technique—you've likely heard of it as well."

"That is Sage Arts."

"Originally, senjutsu isn't something just anyone can cultivate. But now that you possess the Four-Tails and have the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, you can make use of them for training."

As Minato spoke, he took out a summoning scroll.

"Sage Arts!?"

Ning Feng froze.
