"Oh~!" Rhodey listened to the System's explanation in surprise. He didn't expect such a thing; the System actually extracted an ability awakened by a Transmigrator who became Legion.
Thinking of the Transmigrator protagonists he read about in online novels in his previous life, Rhodey was almost certain that this Transmigrator Legion's ability was absolutely extraordinary!
Otherwise, how could a Transmigrator survive in a dangerous foreign World?
"Quick, tell me what's different about this ability!" Rhodey asked impatiently.
The System replied, "The Devour and Absorb ability the Host obtained from this sign-in will not cause the Host to experience periodic personality splits, nor will it devour the consciousness of the deceased. Instead, it will only devour the deceased's abilities and relevant experience in using them."
"At the same time, it can also strengthen the devoured ability, achieving double the effect of the devoured person's usage!"
"And it can fuse abilities of the same type, synthesizing them into a higher potential level of the same type of ability!"
After hearing the System's introduction, Rhodey couldn't help but gasp.
"This ability is amazing!"
"There's no risk of personality splits, and it can unleash double the effect of the ability itself."
"The key is that it even devours the other person's usage experience, so there's no need to practice or develop it yourself!"
"Even a Vampire isn't this good at absorbing!" Rhodey couldn't help but exclaim.
"But, why does this ability sound so much like a Disciple's ability?"
"It's just that a Disciple can replicate just by seeing, while you need the person to die before you can Devour and Absorb."
"The class is slightly lacking!"
"Fortunately, you can absorb their usage experience and double-strengthen it, which is an advantage."
The System remained silent.
However, Rhodey was just lamenting; he didn't necessarily need the System to answer him.
Moreover, what if the ability was a bit like a Disciple's? A Disciple is very strong, isn't he? If he could really extract a Disciple's ability, Rhodey would definitely be happier!
Unfortunately, a Disciple is not a Mutant. And Rhodey's System is the Strongest Mutant System, so it cannot extract non-Mutant abilities.
However, from this extraction, Rhodey gained a new understanding of the System. It even extracted a Transmigrator's exclusive ability. This System has something!
An ability like Devour and Absorb, even if it's just this single ability, can create a powerful figure. It must be said, it truly lives up to being an ability awakened by a Transmigrator. It's awesome! Not only are there no side effects, but it can also give you double the enhancement. It's like, I plagiarize your ability, but I use it even stronger than your original version! Isn't that infuriating?
...
After realizing the power of the Devour and Absorb ability, Rhodey immediately took out a spare saline solution and granted the ability to it.
Then— "Ding~!"
"Host has successfully granted Devour and Absorb ability to the target item. Congratulations, Host, you have obtained a randomly enhanced three thousand times Devour and Absorb ability!"
Wait! System, how many times did you just say? Rhodey was startled. He quickly called up the System interface and scrolled to the bottom to check.
[Devour and Absorb. Lv2. Omega-level. Three Thousand Times Enhancement]
Holy cow~! Is it really three thousand times?! I didn't mishear!! Rhodey's eyes were filled with wild joy. He didn't expect an Omega-level ability to be randomly enhanced by such a multiplier of three thousand times. You know, the previous Omega-level ability, Magnetic Field Manipulation, only had an enhancement of one hundred sixty times. Compared to this three thousand times, a mere one hundred sixty times is nothing! There's no comparison at all.
Moreover, the most important thing is that the effect of Devour and Absorb is to devour other people's abilities! Because it's the Transmigrator exclusive version, it's not limited to devouring only Mutant abilities. In other words, as long as it's a supernatural ability, it can Devour and Absorb! This ability itself is already explosively powerful. And now… Rhodey actually randomly got a three thousand times enhancement! This has directly broken through the sky!
Imagine this: Rhodey devours an ability, and after being devoured, that ability itself gets a double enhancement. But now, because of the System's enhancement, that double effect will be multiplied by another three thousand times! This means it's an enhancement of six thousand times the original version!!! It's too abnormal! It's simply inhumane! Is it even letting others live? Rhodey's "anger" made tears flow uncontrollably from the corners of his mouth. He was so "angry." He truly felt it was unfair to others!
"Good heavens, this is forcing me to cause trouble, System!" Rhodey thought. After all, his ability isn't like a Disciple's, which can be replicated just by seeing. Instead, it requires someone to die before he can Devour and Absorb! In other words… this is forcing him to kill people! And to kill those who are very strong. If he kills just one, Rhodey's strength will immediately experience a new surge!
"Who should I kill?" Rhodey began to calculate in his mind. Speaking of which, if he had known this, he wouldn't have killed Ikaris! If he had saved him to kill now, wouldn't Rhodey have been able to transform into Superman of the Marvel Universe? After all, Ikaris's abilities were very similar to Superman's in all aspects. It's just that his strength was a bit weak. But if it were enhanced by six thousand times, even if it couldn't reach the level of Superman in the comics, something like Steel Body would surely be surpassed in minutes, wouldn't it?
What a pity! What a great pity! Rhodey was heartbroken, regretting his impulsive actions before. But it's okay! If there's no Ikaris, aren't there others? By the way, where did the other Eternals go? But are the abilities of those remaining guys worth devouring? Forget it! Who cares if it's worth it or not? I don't have a limit on the number of devours. As long as it's not an ability that changes my appearance, what if I devour all of them? I'll accept anyone!
...
All night, Rhodey tossed and turned, unable to sleep. He was simply too excited. He wished he could immediately find someone to kill and then devour their ability. However, reason made Rhodey wait a night. Until dawn, Rhodey said good morning to Wanda, who had woken up, and they lingered for a while before coming out of the bedroom. Daisy was already up, holding a glass of milk and sitting at the dining table, scrolling on her phone. Seeing the two come out, she smiled and waved to Wanda.
