The next moment;
Rhodey opened the system interface and found the Devour and Absorb ability.
[Devour and Absorb. Omega-level]
Omega-level?!
Rhodey's eyes lit up.
He didn't expect this to be another Omega-level Mutant ability with unlimited potential.
And this was the second Omega-level ability Rhodey had obtained!
The previous one was Magnetic Field Manipulation from the popular Magneto.
And the Magnetic Field Manipulation ability, with Rhodey constantly decomposing various trash abilities to supplement it, had already been developed to the 5th level.
It was already quite powerful!
And with a one hundred and sixty-fold enhancement, controlling the global Magnetic Field and causing the destruction of human civilization was just a thought away for Rhodey!
Speaking of large-scale destruction.
Rhodey's strongest ability right now was this Magnetic Field Manipulation ability!
After all, an attack that could cover an entire Planet, other abilities couldn't even come close.
Furthermore;
Rhodey currently only had two abilities developed to the 5th level.
One was Magnetic Field Manipulation.
The other was Energy Absorption.
As for 6th level, he didn't have a single one.
No choice;
6th level was too difficult to advance.
Compared to 5th level, a 6th level ability was definitely a qualitative leap.
Therefore, developing to this step would be several times harder than improving from 1st level to 5th level before.
Even if Rhodey's several Alpha-level abilities were all raised to 5th level, the total proficiency consumed might not be enough to raise one 5th level ability to 6th level!
And now there was another big consumer of proficiency.
To be honest;
Rhodey sometimes wondered when his luck would change.
Not to say his luck would become as good as it was now.
But at least he shouldn't always draw a bunch of Ipsilon abilities, right?
At least give me some Delta Class abilities!
The proficiency obtained from decomposing one Delta Class ability was enough to equal two or three Ipsilon abilities.
If all those Ipsilon abilities he had drawn in the past were replaced with Delta Class abilities, Rhodey's other Alpha-level abilities would have all reached 5th level long ago!
Why would they still be lingering at 4th level?
...
"But System, what exactly is this Devour and Absorb ability? I haven't even heard of the name David Charles Haller! Does he have a nickname?"
While it was certainly pleasing to sign in and receive an Omega-level potential Mutant ability, Rhodey was also a little confused about an ability he had never heard of.
So he asked the system, wondering if it could give him some directional hints.
"David Charles Haller, nicknamed Legion, son of the famous Mutant leader Professor X."
The system actually replied to Rhodey.
And hearing the nickname Legion, Rhodey instantly remembered who this guy was.
What's more;
The system directly mentioned the famous Professor X!
The founder and leader of the X-Men.
His reputation among Mutants was on par with Magneto.
And his son, Legion, although not as famous as his father, was more powerful in terms of ability!
Legion was called by this nickname precisely because his abilities were so numerous, like an aggregate of a large group of Mutants.
That's why he was called Legion!
But...
If Rhodey remembered correctly, this Legion's ability was to absorb the consciousness and abilities of deceased people, right?
And even without absorbing, he would occasionally develop a split personality, and each personality would possess a unique Mutant ability!
It is said that this guy possesses over two hundred split personalities with Omega-level potential.
And all the personalities combined total over several thousand!
As the main conscious personality, Legion himself would occasionally be replaced by other personalities.
Such an ability, while powerful.
But the risk is too great, isn't it?
If something went wrong, his main personality might be replaced by other personalities.
Rhodey didn't want to become a mentally ill person with schizophrenia!
"System, you're too much of a scammer!"
"I finally got an Omega-level Mutant ability, but it's an ability that causes schizophrenia?"
"What do I want with this broken ability!"
After learning the origin of this ability, Rhodey was completely speechless.
The happiness and excitement he felt just now directly turned into depression and anger.
He finally had a stroke of luck and signed in for a powerful ability.
"And this is what you give me?"
"Host, please don't misunderstand, this ability is not from the Legion you are familiar with," the System explained.
"Isn't it still Legion? What's the difference?" Rhodey was speechless.
"The difference is huge. The Devour and Absorb ability the Host obtained from this sign-in comes from Legion of Marvel Universe, designated 850001-03," the System explained. "Legion of this Universe is a Transmigrator from another World. Although this Transmigrator doesn't have the assistance of a great System like the Host, he awakened a special Devour and Absorb ability after his transmigration."
"This ability is similar to the abilities of other Universe's Legion, but there's a big difference in its essence."
