"Then that settles it," I said, satisfied with his answer. "Has anyone seen him? I couldn't find him in the infirmary."
Rowan kept quiet for a moment, his lips tightly pressed together as he seemed deep in thought, probably tapping into the mind link. I sighed. That would've been such a useful skill to have.
Finally, he returned his gaze to me and gestured in a direction towards the edge of the pack's borders.
"This way," Rowan said.
I wordlessly followed behind him. All throughout, Rowan made sure my hand was tightly wrapped in his, not giving me a chance to run, not that I wanted to.
"Where are we headed to?" I asked.
"The warriors spotted him near the border helping some injured pack members," Rowan explained. "But that was approximately half an hour ago. If we're lucky, he would still be there. I can't reach him via the mind link."
I frowned. I didn't like the sound of that. "Is that supposed to happen?"
