Damian's hair was still damp from the bath as he walked toward the door, quietly rubbing a towel through the strands while the remaining droplets ran down the sides of his face. The warm air from the bathhouse clung to his skin, and the loose black robes he had changed into felt comfortable after the weight of his ceremonial clothing.
Loth followed a few steps behind him, adjusting the robe around her body while keeping another towel wrapped securely around herself. She had only just finished herself when Damian had decided to leave, so she had barely managed to put herself together before following him.
They were almost at the door when it opened from the other side.
Racheal, Hazel and Ruby stood outside and all three stopped simultaneously.
Their gazes moved from Damian to Loth, then down to the towel wrapped around Loth's body before returning to Damian. The silence lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough for Racheal's expression to change completely.
