Chapter 223 - Three-Way Battle

On Cognicore, Bizet, who was hiding near the mountainside, instantly noticed the communicator blinking.

He quickly summoned green light, clamped his hand over Gambino's mouth with it, and answered the call.

"Mogo, this is Bizet. Are you guys—"

"Dad, Bizet's still alive! We can lock onto his position!"

Mogo cut Bizet off mid-sentence and shouted excitedly at Heisenberg.

Heisenberg nodded. The Bifrost, already primed and ready, immediately found Bizet's location.

Roughly two kilometers ahead of Bizet, a thick pillar of rainbow light descended onto an open area, teleporting the entire Godrealm ship there.

Watching the rainbow-hued transport channel fall from the sky, Gambino blinked in shock, then irritably swatted away the green light Bizet had clamped over his mouth.

"That is seriously cool as hell. What's it called? Don't tell me it's another Boom Tube?"

"It's called the Rainbow Bridge!"

Bizet laughed excitedly, his eyes locked on the ship that sat motionless in the clearing.

At that moment, inside the Godrealm.

Heisenberg expressionlessly waved a hand, and the Godrealm's sky lit up with the view of the outside world.

When the battlefield of Cognicore appeared in full across the sky, every warrior under Heisenberg's command felt a chill run through them.

Because the Cognicore of this moment was simply too blood-soaked!

Mera couldn't help but gag. Though she'd seen dead people before, she had never seen anything like this—hundreds of millions of mangled corpses piled together in a single vista.

But she forced herself to hold it in, because now that she had set her sights on the throne of the Sea King, she could no longer allow herself any weakness.

Beside her, Diana gritted her teeth and drew her longsword.

"Everyone, watch out for yourselves!"

At her words, the Amazons and Atlanteans slammed their weapons hard against the ground in unison.

THUD!!!

The synchronized crash resounded through everyone's hearts, and the cruelty and carnage of war put them all on full alert.

At the same time, Fiona studied the image carefully. The plasma beams constantly sweeping across Cognicore made her frown slightly.

She abruptly raised her right hand and shouted a suggestion to Heisenberg.

"My Lord, the combatants need to armor up!"

"Armor them!"

Heisenberg replied, nodding heavily.

At his command, the Godrealm's AI core manifested its enormous form in the air.

Under its control, a massive amount of Kryptonian gravity particles spread over the Amazons and Atlanteans.

While the troops were being armored, Heisenberg continued to survey the battlefield outside.

After a moment of thought, he said quietly to everyone:

"We'll engage shortly. Kryptonians will prioritize assisting the scholar teams in setting up the strong-magnetic reconstruction technology that can bore through to the planet's core.

The Amazons will clear the battlefield and secure the Kryptonian scholars' technical space. The Atlanteans will provide support at any time, ensuring the magnetic device installation proceeds.

The Justice League will handle rescue at any moment and serve as temporary command, always ready to receive Apokolips' elites and Brainiac himself.

And as for the last part..."

Heisenberg clenched his fist hard and suddenly roared at the crowd:

"WAR!!!"

BOOM!!!

A new Bifrost lit up over Cognicore again. The Godrealm's combatants didn't need to walk out of the ship—they descended directly around it.

In the distance, Gambino had just been wondering why the ship Bizet summoned remained motionless.

But the next second, the sudden descent of over a hundred thousand warriors gave him a huge surprise.

"My god, is that... Kryptonian-style armor?"

"No, their clothes are Kryptonian in style, but the ones wearing them aren't Kryptonians!"

Abin corrected him from the side, then charged at top speed toward the Amazon warrior legion.

As he ran, he shouted to the Amazon women:

"Be careful! There's a round of plasma sweeps every three minutes and fifteen seconds!

Also, there are no allies on this planet—every living thing is an enemy!"

"And what about you?"

Hippolyta laughed boldly, raising her bow and calmly aiming at the three Green Lanterns charging forward.

She suddenly drew and loosed, sending an arrow streaking past Abin's ear.

Abin and the other two didn't dodge, flying straight into the Amazon ranks and hovering above the formation.

The arrow that had skimmed past them slammed hard into a long-robed warrior who was swinging a laser sword at the three of them.

Struck by the arrow, the long-robed warrior skidded backward a full twenty-plus meters before stopping.

He howled in agony, snapped the arrow in half, and charged at the Amazons while shouting something about "the Force."

The Amazon queen smiled coldly, tossed her bow to a nearby guard, and drew her sword.

"CHARGE!!!"

"HOO-AH!!!"

At the queen's command, over a hundred thousand warriors spread out in all directions in the blink of an eye, with spear-and-shield warriors the first to establish defensive lines.

The Amazon archers, along with Atlanteans wielding tridents and hydro-powered energy rifles, were surrounded by Amazon warriors as they continuously blocked and killed enemies from the sky and underground.

Most of their enemies were strong, but it had to be admitted—the Kryptonian armor that even Superman needed several punches to break was genuinely sturdy.

For the time being, they hadn't suffered any casualties yet.

As for that poor warrior from some unknown multiverse, the one shouting about the Force...

In the blink of an eye, he was cleaved in two by Hippolyta!

Amazon women and Atlantean warriors couldn't be considered powerful in the DC world, but don't forget—that was only when compared to the various superheroes!

As for their actual strength?

Put it this way: in ancient times, Hippolyta had a record of slaying a dragon!

In an instant, the Amazon warriors and the alien enemies collided into a bloody meat grinder.

The shield-bearers' shields were caked with chunks of flesh, and their comrades' war hammers and longswords had long been coated in blood of every color.

In the midst of this bloody situation, Fiona and Astra charged out of the crowd with one hundred and twenty-two warriors.

Black combat suits and black capes instantly became the most terrifying nightmare on Cognicore.

BOOM!

That was Fiona punching an enemy Green Lantern into an explosion with a single blow.

The force of her punch tore a rift more than six kilometers long across Cognicore.

CRASH!!!

That was Astra stomping down onto the earth. Within two kilometers of Astra, no living thing could maintain its original shape!

Compared to these sun-bathed Kryptonians, the Amazon and Atlantean warriors were simply too ordinary.

Ordinary, as if they were mere mortals!

Clang, clang, clang—within moments, the Kryptonian warriors had largely cleared out the enemies within a radius of several hundred kilometers.

The remaining stragglers were left for the others to slowly finish off.

Once the surrounding battlefield was secure enough, the Kryptonian scholars, each carrying machine parts, rapidly assembled the planet-scale magnetic technology weighing tens of thousands of tons.

At the same time, the Godrealm ship remained on the surface of Cognicore, and countless gravity particles peeled away from the ship's hull, gradually seeping into the planet's sphere.

Inside the Godrealm, the AI core reported to Heisenberg from atop Mogo's body:

"Cognicore's composition has been analyzed. Eighty percent is various metals from across the universe. The assimilation and devouring function has been activated.

Scan complete. Cognicore is 168,000 kilometers in diameter, with a high-energy reaction located 62,000 kilometers underground.

Since this planet has no core, it has been determined that this is where Brainiac's core is located."

"Lay the strong-magnetic reconstruction device. Bore through Cognicore's surface, straight down to its core, and force out Brainiac's Rao-Demon ship."

Heisenberg ordered curtly.

Hearing Heisenberg's command, the Godrealm robot nodded, then glanced at the shocked Justice League heroes around it.

Being looked at by the AI like that, Flash immediately threw up.

Beside him, Victor gently patted Barry's back, while Arthur excitedly hoisted his five-pronged trident.

"Boss, let us fight! Guard duty isn't our kind of job!"

"That's right! My people are still fighting—I have to stand with them!"

Mera shouted, and that got everyone in the Justice League except Bruce fired up with boiling blood.

The Amazons' courage and battle formations, along with the Kryptonians sweeping the field, completely ignited the fighting spirit buried deep in their hearts.

Looking at the heroes' impressive morale, Heisenberg smiled with satisfaction.

He nodded lightly and offered a reminder:

"Of course I won't leave you in the ship to watch until the end.

But you must stay safe. This is only a training exercise—it can't even be called a real war.

Protect yourselves. Darkseid is the true enemy."

As his words fell, Heisenberg released the Bifrost a third time. After eight beams of light flashed, the Justice League officially entered the fray.

Unfortunately, given the one-sided situation before them, their entrance seemed rather unnecessary.

But this so-called Cognicore was only a training exercise, after all. Not needing these destiny-favored heroes to turn the tide was the best possible outcome of this war.

At the same time, on the other two fronts.

Brainiac, who had buried himself deep underground, immediately detected the new enemies.

Within his central hub, Brainiac's mechanical voice continued:

"A third-party force has been detected. Identified as unknown Kryptonian lifeforms. Extracting lifeform gene data. The existing data and current data show significant divergence!"

After voicing his judgment, among the countless miniature cities orbiting his central core, one palm-sized city—exceptionally dilapidated inside—drifted near the core.

At that moment, the Kryptonians eking out an existence within Kandor suddenly discovered that a deep shadow had appeared in their sky once again.

Light descended from above, and three Kryptonians found themselves unable to move—then they simply vanished.

With the deaths of those three unfortunate souls, Brainiac's voice rang out again:

"Latest Kryptonian data extracted. Kryptonian gene comparison and experimentation procedures executed.

Determined that the invading Kryptonians have been exposed to a new yellow sun's radiation. Reclassified the Kryptonian template as an energy-storing, more malleable superhuman lifeform.

Based on extracted genetic information, the invading Kryptonians' weakness is red sun radiation. Constructing red solar spectrum irradiation system. Preparing planetary illumination simulation.

Red sun irradiation countdown: five minutes.

Four minutes, fifty-nine seconds.

Four minutes, fifty-eight seconds..."

...

Just like Brainiac, over in the Mind City at this moment, the siblings were in the middle of...

Ahem.

In any case, the busy brother-sister duo snapped out of their indulgence and turned their attention to the energy warnings flashing from the Mind Core.

In the current alarm system, Amazing Grace and Glorious Godfrey were pleasantly surprised to discover:

Multiple super-lifeforms had appeared in the northern hemisphere of Cognicore—and these lifeforms were none other than the Kryptonians His Majesty Darkseid had been yearning for.

"Haha, this is credit delivered right to our doorstep!"

Godfrey exclaimed excitedly, then stood up stark naked and fully opened every Boom Tube the Mind City could support.

With his action, the Godrealm's warriors suddenly discovered that outside their defensive perimeter, a full thirty Boom Tubes had descended from the sky.

And then, their enemies began increasing at a rate of millions per second.
