The moment of truth Ellen was referring to was meeting Flint's adoptive parents. Ellen had actually known them before, but now the situation was different. After visiting their parents' graves, they had changed their appearances, wearing brightly colored clothing.
Before Flint could begin, he gripped Ellen's hand tightly under the table to vent his nervousness. Although he had previously been confident about marrying Ellen, he somehow had a bad feeling about his adoptive parents.
"Flint, what's wrong with you?" Jackson asked with a confused look.
Flint chuckled. "I'm not nervous."
"But you've been shaking all this time," the adoptive mother objected firmly.
Ellen laughed awkwardly at her fiancé's stiff, robotic expression. "He's been nervous since this morning."
Bastian could only shake his head while looking at his adopted brother who continued to hold hands with his lover, even though it was hidden under the table.
"You guys aren't usually this nervous. What's going on?"
