Ava's Pov:
I shifted slightly in bed, my head resting against Leon's chest, his arm loosely wrapped around me like he didn't even realize he was holding me. For a moment, I just stayed there, listening to his breathing, feeling the slow rise and fall of his chest under my cheek.
Then reality settled in.
"Leon," I said softly.
He didn't move.
"Leon," I repeated, this time nudging him lightly.
He groaned and tightened his hold on me instead. "No."
I almost laughed. "You have work."
"No, I don't."
"Yes, you do."
"I own the company," he muttered. "I can take a day off."
"You've been saying that for weeks and still going in every single day," I said, pulling away slightly so I could look at him.
His eyes were still closed. "That's different."
"How?"
"Because now I actually don't want to go."
I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't hide the small smile on my face. "You're still going."
